Hi there my friends,

I need to share with you something today.

As a minister of the gospel we begin to teach or preach on a subject and then we are tested on what we are teaching………..There is an accountability  that comes from being in the ministry. I just wanted to share with you that I haven’t arrived at all of this either, that it is a daily, minute by minute choice of how we use our words. Sometimes I miss the mark, but you get up and start again!!!

We are going to start our in Matthew 12:34-37 amp

34 You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil? For out of the fullness of the heart the mouth speaks.

35 The good man from his inner good treasure flings forth good things and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse flings forth evil things.

This is why it is crucial what we are alowing to come into out lives, homes and environment, because as it enters your heart it will entually finds its way out again through your mouth. What are you allowing your eyes to see, wahst are you allowing your ears to hear?? Guard those things, because  they will effect what comes out of your mouth.

36 But I tell you, on the day of judgement men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak.

37 For by your words you will be justified and aquitted and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.

Did you realize that?? You are accountable for every word that comes out of your mouth , and by your words you will be justified or condemned…… Words don’t just disappear after they are spoken, they have long lasting effects. They after the people that the words are spoken over, but they will also effect you on the day of judgement!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had the opportunity this week to contine to check my heart , because some of the things coming out of my mouth were questionable. We need to be continually open for the Lord to show us areas of our hearts that may need adjusting, it may not feel good at the time but it is neccessary!!

Take some time with the Lord like David and ask him to search your heart and see if there be any wicked way in you that needs correcting, it is worth it!!!!!!!!!!!

Take Care and May God bless you today!

Pastor Carol

Good Morning Everyone!!

God is so good , he is so faithful in all circumstances!!

We all know the verse that says , Satan comes to kill, steal and destroy. I believe this to be true, but we also need to look at ourselves and see if we are allowing the words of our mouth to kill, steal or destroy anything. People are very quick to blame everything on satan and not take responsibility for their own actions.

I believe with my whole heart that CLOSE FRIENDS , are a special gift from God. These are divinely placed friendships that God ordained for special seasons in our lives.  Pastor Rick has been meditating on partnership, I believe God ordains these friendships for partnership in prayer, encouragement, finances and more….

Proverbs 16:28

A perverse man sows strife & a whisperer separates close friends.

We need to be very cautious about what comes out of our mouths about other people, that we are not sowing strife or whispering about any situation, the effects of this could be devasting in relationships. We also need to keep a guard up against people speaking anything over us & our relationships that would cause strife or separation.

Proverbs 17:9

He who covers and forgives an offense seeks love, but he who repeats or harps on a matter separates close friends.

I tell you this morning, that I know how much hurt comes when something comes and separates close friends. It hurts and leaves a void in your life, because you know this relationship was ordained by God and separated by man or circumstances that should not have been so!! We need to value these close friendships and not let offenses or our mouths or someones else’s mouth divide us.

The last scripture we are going to look at is Proverbs 20:19

He who goes about as a talebearer reveals secrets, therefore associate not with him who talks to freely.

#1 make sure you are not this type of person that is sharing information that is not to be shared with anyone, not even under the guise of we need to pray for so and so because they did this…….

#2 This scripture says to separate yourself from this kind of person who is not watching the words they are speaking as they are bringing destrcution with their words and it can effect you and your friendships and every area of your life. Guard yourself against ill spoken words.

God Bless you this morning, Feel free to comment or e-mail me with any prayer requests!

In His Love,

Pastor Carol

Are you Weary? What role does your tongue play in it? January 20, 2009

Filed under: Teachings on the Words of our Mouth — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:15 am

Good Morning My Dear Friends!

I apologize for misssing you yesterday, but I am back with you today!!

I have a couple scriptures to share with you this morning that connects the words of our mouth with weariness!! Jeremiah 9:5 And they deceive and mock every one his neighbor and do not speak the truth. They have taught their tongues to speak lies; they weary themselves commiting iniquity.

There are two things to see in this verse, 1. they taught their tongue. We have the ability and the responsibility to teach our tongue what to say andwhat not to say. As you can see further on, they chose to teach their tongues to speak lies instead of the truth, and we see the consequences. 2. They weary themselves committing iniquity.

When we allow our tongue to speak idlely and to speak out things it should not there is a consequence. One of the consequences is that you weary yourself!! So, if you are feeling weak and weary, check the words you have been speaking.

In Isaiah 50:4 the Lord shows us a picture of how our tongue should be used.

The servant of God says, the Lord God has given me the tongue of a disciple and of one who is taught, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary. He wakens me morning by morning. He wakens my ear to hear as a disciple ( as one who is taught)

This scripture shows us that we have been given a tongue of a disciple, so that WE CAN SPEAK A WORD IN SEASON TO HIM WHO IS WEARY.

We have a choice each and every day on what we teach and allow our tongue to do.

Our tongue can weary ourselves committing iniquity or it can speak a word in season to someone who is weary!!

Are you weary today, speak Gods word over your life and then go find others that also are weary and encourage them by speaking the word of God into their lives and see the Weariness LEAVE!!

God Bless you my friends and remember no matter what you are going through, He will never leave you nor forsake you and All things are possible to us when we believe. Speak and Believe his word today and watch circumstances change!!

In His Love,

Pastor Carol

Encouraging Words January 17, 2009

Filed under: Teachings on the Words of our Mouth — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 7:50 am

Good Morning My Friends.

As I begin this blog this morning, words from a song came to mind.Home, Home on the range…….where seldom is heard a discouraging word and the skies are not cloudy all day!!

Looking each other in the eye

I’m going to concentrate this morning on the words spoken at home!! Most of the time, Home is where you let down your hair and your true self is exposed….. What kinds of words are normally spoken in your home.

I was very blessed for many years to work for a couple that understood the importance of words. This couple had been married over 15 years, but there communication between each other sounded like they were newly married. It was awesome to hear him speak to his wife over the phone, it was always honey, sweetie, baby, always concerned on how she was doing…..

After being around that environment, I trusted God to bring me a husband that understood the importance of words, and He did!!

Prv 12:25 Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad

It is very importance to speak life over your family members and family situations!! Life and death are in the power of YOUR TONGUE.

As my husband and I had our time together this morning, we were talking about the importance of encouraging and praising each other in a marriage. If you are having any problems in your marriage, its time to take a look back and see what has been coming out of your mouth and honestly what has not been coming out of your mouth.

We all need to be encouraged and praised and it should come from those people who are the closest to you and love you the most. We need to speak good over our spouses and our children. Don’t speak the problems you see in them, call forth what you see them being in the future!! God changed Abrams name to Abraham which meant Father of many nations! He was called Abraham long before he was Father of anything!!

Speak Encouraging words in your home today and see the environment change!!

God Bless you!!

Pastor Carol

Can we talk too much? January 16, 2009

Filed under: Teachings on the Words of our Mouth — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:53 am

Hi all,

It is Fantastic Friday!!!

We are contining on our study on the words of our mouth. There is so much in the scriptures about this, but I feel I am to give you a nugget each day to meditate on and to practice in your daily life so it becomes a part of you!

Proverbs 10:19 In a multitude of words transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.

In other words the scripture is warning us that the more we say, the more likely we are to say something that will lead to a transgression or sin. I believe this is especially true in a heated discussion or in any disagreement. There are circumstances constantly that come our way and it is human nature to defend our actions, but most of the times its better to keep your words to a minimum and let it be. We need to be open to keep our mouths closed when we need to.

Our words have a purpose,

Proverbs 10:21 The lips of the uncompromisingly righteous feed and guide many, but fools die for want of understanding and heart. Take an inventory of your words today and see what they are accomplishing…Are they uplifting someone or tearing them down, are they encouraging or discouraging, are they idle words that have no meaning, are you speaking too many words and letting your mouth take you to areas you don’t belong.

As you can imagine this is not a one time thing. This is a continual growing experience in the Lord. Every day is a new chance to watch our words and to use them the way God has ordained us to use them. Are you feeding and guiding many with the Truth of the gospel?

Speak Love today over all situations, love covers it does not expose. Do you remember that saying that your mom might have taught you, If you don’t have something nice to say , don’t say it at all. That is the Fathers heart for you this morning!

Be blessed and watch your words today!!

In Christ,

Pastor Carol

What are your words bringing? January 15, 2009

Filed under: Teachings on the Words of our Mouth — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:36 am

Good Morning My Friends!

Have you ever been so focused on one subject in the word of God, that it is all you can think about? That is how I feel right now on the subject of our words! It is vitally important that we learn this and that we apply it to our lives each and every day. There are SO MANY scriptures on your words, your tongue, speaking things, its amazing!!

Today we will focus on what your words can bring you.

Proverbs 14:23 In all labor there is profit, but idle talk leads only to poverty

Why are you talking, do you have something important to say or are you just idlely talking to just talk? Some people just like to hear themselves talk or want to be in the center of the conversation, so they go on and on and say very little, thats idle talk….

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath, but grevious words stir up anger.

Your words have the power to change the reactions and emotions of others. Wow, just think of that!! You can really control the conversations you are in, even those heated conversations when people are trying to ruffle your feathers… you can have contol over it, if you have control over your words! So many people feel the need to defend themselves in conversations, let God take care of defending you, answer with a soft answer, don’t enter into a debate with grevious words, it will just escalate the conversation……

This is such a powerful revelation that  I really don’t want to go further this morning, I really want you to meditate on this and put it into practice! Soft answers will work miracles!!! People will be caught off guard especially if they are used to getting another kind of reaction from you!!

Have fun with God today and see His word work for you as you apply it in your actions.

God Bless You,

Love Pastor Carol

Words January 14, 2009

Filed under: Teachings on the Words of our Mouth — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 7:55 am

Good Morning Everyone

I am beginning on a new journey today and would like to invite you all to come along with me. I don’t know how many teachings this will be, but I am open to the Lord to discover fresh revelation on the importance of our every word that comes out of our mouth!!

The scripture that I want to start with this morning is in Proverbs 15:28

The heart of the righteous studieth to answer, but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil.

As we begin our study on the words of our mouth, there is one foundation truth you must grasp!! Your heart will guide your tongue!!  If your heart is willing to speak life, that is what you concentrate doing in every situation. If there is evil intent in your heart it will come out of your mouth.  For out of the heart flows the issues of life. And the way those issues are manifested is through our speech and actions!!

When we are put in different situations we need to take the time needed to respond. Study the situation before you answer!!!

Practice makes perfect and we are given opportunities every minute of each day to practice this!!

Have fun with your words today, may they bless everyone you come in contact with!

Love you,

Pastor Carol
