Good Morning!

Jesus Christ is our example… Did his actions make a difference in your life? It has if you have received what he did on Calvary for you.

2 Corinthians 5:21

New King James Version (NKJV)

21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Jesus’ assignment was to come to earth and be the sinless sacrifice for the sins of the world. He accomplished that assignment and now sits at the right hand of the Father. What does God have for you specifically to do before He calls you home to be with him? I believe we have specific assignments during our lifetime here on earth and we need to be walking in the fullness of them. So just as your life was touched and changed by the love and actions of Father God and Jesus, so too does your love and actions affect others? And in turn it will affect your life also!!

Lets look at a great example of someone walking in their assignment to be there for someone else and how it not only ministered to that person, but it changed her life also.

Ruth 1

New King James Version (NKJV)

Ruth 1

Elimelech’s Family Goes to Moab

1 Now it came to pass, in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land. And a certain man of Bethlehem, Judah, went to dwell in the country of Moab, he and his wife and his two sons. 2 The name of the man was Elimelech, the name of his wife was Naomi, and the names of his two sons were Mahlon and Chilion—Ephrathites of Bethlehem, Judah. And they went to the country of Moab and remained there. 3 Then Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died; and she was left, and her two sons. 4 Now they took wives of the women of Moab: the name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other Ruth. And they dwelt there about ten years. 5Then both Mahlon and Chilion also died; so the woman survived her two sons and her husband.

Lets look at the situation here for a minute. We see three women here who all have lost their husbands and Noami had lost both of her sons also. You could say it was a very hard time for them and their lives had changed overnight. But we will see in a minute how their actions could affect each others and their own life in a very big way!!!

Naomi Returns with Ruth

6 Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the LORD had visited His people by giving them bread. 7 Therefore she went out from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah. 8 And Naomi said to her two daughters-in-law, “Go, return each to her mother’s house. The LORD deal kindly with you, as you have dealt with the dead and with me. 9 The LORD grant that you may find rest, each in the house of her husband.”
So she kissed them, and they lifted up their voices and wept. 10 And they said to her, “Surely we will return with you to your people.”
11 But Naomi said, “Turn back, my daughters; why will you go with me? Are there still sons in my womb, that they may be your husbands? 12 Turn back, my daughters, go—for I am too old to have a husband. If I should say I have hope, if I should have a husband tonight and should also bear sons, 13 would you wait for them till they were grown? Would you restrain yourselves from having husbands? No, my daughters; for it grieves me very much for your sakes that the hand of the LORD has gone out against me!”
Here we see that Naomi is in a state of hopelessness. She wants the best for her daughter in laws, but does not think that it is with her, because she feels the hand of the Lord has gone out against her…. If you had been one of the daughter in laws what would have you done?

14 Then they lifted up their voices and wept again; and Orpah kissed her mother-in-law, but Ruth clung to her.
15 And she said, “Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law.”
16 But Ruth said:

“ Entreat me not to leave you,
      Or to turn back from following after you;
      For wherever you go, I will go;
      And wherever you lodge, I will lodge;
Your people shall be my people,
      And your God, my God.

17 Where you die, I will die,
And there will I be buried.
The LORD do so to me, and more also,
If anything but death parts you and me.”

Here we see Ruth take up the assignment God has for her. God had not forsaken Naomi, he just had a new season for her and this season required Ruth to connect with her in such a way.God has assignments for all of us. I believe the assignments are connected to the people that God puts in our lives at certain times. Ruth had a choice her to stay with Naomi or to leave her. She made the choice that would change her life forever. Do you really believe that ONE CHOICE can change your life forever.

18 When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her.
19 Now the two of them went until they came to Bethlehem. And it happened, when they had come to Bethlehem, that all the city was excited because of them; and the women said, “Is this Naomi?”
20 But she said to them, “Do not call me Naomi;[a] call me Mara,[b] for the Almighty has dealt very bitterly with me. 21 I went out full, and the LORD has brought me home again empty. Why do you call me Naomi, since the LORD has testified against me, and the Almighty has afflicted me?”
22 So Naomi returned, and Ruth the Moabitess her daughter-in-law with her, who returned from the country of Moab. Now they came to Bethlehem at the beginning of barley harvest.

Ruth 2

Ruth Meets Boaz

1 There was a relative of Naomi’s husband, a man of great wealth, of the family of Elimelech. His name was Boaz. 2 So Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor.”
And she said to her, “Go, my daughter.”
3 Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.
4 Now behold, Boaz came from Bethlehem, and said to the reapers, “The LORD be with you!”
And they answered him, “The LORD bless you!”
5 Then Boaz said to his servant who was in charge of the reapers, “Whose young woman is this?”

Believe me, people are watching what your are doing and how you go about doing it. The are not only watching your actions, but also your attitudes. Your actions as you follow Jesus will put you in the right place at the right time. You will have favor with God and with man. This is so awesome, reminds me of my favorite verse in( proverbs 3:3-6

6 So the servant who was in charge of the reapers answered and said, “It is the young Moabite woman who came back with Naomi from the country of Moab. 7 And she said, ‘Please let me glean and gather after the reapers among the sheaves.’ So she came and has continued from morning until now, though she rested a little in the house.”
8 Then Boaz said to Ruth, “You will listen, my daughter, will you not? Do not go to glean in another field, nor go from here, but stay close by my young women. 9 Let your eyes be on the field which they reap, and go after them. Have I not commanded the young men not to touch you? And when you are thirsty, go to the vessels and drink from what the young men have drawn.”
10 So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?”
11 And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. 12 The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”

God will repay your work! He sees everything you do, even those things that you have done in secret.
13 Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants.”
14 Now Boaz said to her at mealtime, “Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar.” So she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back. 15 And when she rose up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. 16 Also let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her; leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her.”
17 So she gleaned in the field until evening, and beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley. 18 Then she took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. So she brought out and gave to her what she had kept back after she had been satisfied.
19 And her mother-in-law said to her, “Where have you gleaned today? And where did you work? Blessed be the one who took notice of you.”
So she told her mother-in-law with whom she had worked, and said, “The man’s name with whom I worked today is Boaz.”
20 Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!” And Naomi said to her, “This man is a relation of ours, one of our close relatives.”
21 Ruth the Moabitess said, “He also said to me, ‘You shall stay close by my young men until they have finished all my harvest.’”
22 And Naomi said to Ruth her daughter-in-law, “It is good, my daughter, that you go out with his young women, and that people do not meet you in any other field.” 23 So she stayed close by the young women of Boaz, to glean until the end of barley harvest and wheat harvest; and she dwelt with her mother-in-law.

It is so awesome to see how Ruth made a choice to follow Naomi and Naomi’s God and how provision and protection surrounded her. You can continue to read in Ruth chapter 3 and see the ongoing provision of the Lord over both Ruth’s life and Naomi’s and how the actions of Boaz also effecting the lives of these two ladies in a remarkable way. When we walk in our assignment from the Lord and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit it will have an impact on other peoples lives. Allow God to use you in a remarkable way to touch someone else and make a difference in their life.

God Bless You

Pastor Carol

What are you appointed to do? September 9, 2014

Hi there

We began a new 5 week teaching last night on Deliverance and Healing. I would like to share with you this morning some of the highlights that touched my heart and I pray God will speak to you as He is doing to us.

holy spirit

Lets start with Mark 3;14-15

Mark 3:14-15New King James Version (NKJV)

14 Then He appointed twelve,[a] that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach, 15 and to have power to heal sicknesses and[b] to cast out demons:

One of the most important things for us to remember is that God has called us to:

1. BE WITH HIM…..Sometimes we get so busy in doing that we forget that we need to spend that intimate time with him… As I wrote this I thought of the story of Mary and Martha, where Mary choose the good thing and set at the feet of Jesus. As you will see even in the above verse,,after we spend time with Jesus, then He will SEND us out….

2. Appointed and Annointed to Be Sent Out

BEING SENT

Jesus was sent by the Father to do the Fathers will

For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me.
Jesus was SENT to do the will of His Father.

Luke 4:43New King James Version (NKJV)

43 but He said to them, “I must preach the kingdom of God to the other cities also, because for this purpose I have been sent.”

Just as Jesus was Sent by His Father, then He sent out the disciples with POWER and AUTHORITY!!

Sending Out the Twelve Mark 6

And He called the twelve to Himself, and began to send them out two by two, and gave them power over unclean spirits. He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staff—no bag, no bread, no copper in their money belts— but to wear sandals, and not to put on two tunics.

10 Also He said to them, “In whatever place you enter a house, stay there till you depart from that place. 11 And whoever[a] will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them.[b] Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

12 So they went out and preached that people should repent. 13 And they cast out many demons, and anointed with oil many who were sick, and healed them.

Luke 10:1New King James Version (NKJV)

The Seventy Sent Out

10 After these things the Lord appointed seventy others also,[a] and sent them two by two before His face into every city and place where He Himself was about to go.

John 15:26-27New King James Version (NKJV)

26 “But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me. Also Luke 24:49

When Jesus returned to the Father He did not leave them alone, but He promised He would SEND a HELPER!!! I am so grateful because the HOLY SPIRIT was also sent for us for such a time as this…

This is something very important for you to understand. When Jesus was here HE annointed and appointed the disciples to go out and do the will of the Father…..But when did we receive the POWER to go out???

Acts 1:8New King James Version (NKJV)

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

POWER  …………

There are many Christians today that are trying to do Gods will in their lives……but they are doing it in their own power….. Jesus sent us the HOLY SPIRIT so we would be FILLED WITH POWER, (Strength and Ability)

God has a plan for His children…to SEND them out into the world and He has equipped us with the Holy Spirit to enable us to do what Jesus did and even greater works….

Mark 16

The Great Commission

14 Later He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. 15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; 18 they[b] will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

God has a plan for your life my friend and it is an awesome plan to SEND YOU out into a world that needs to be Touched and Changed by God himself and He has equipped you through the Holy Spirit to do just that!!! Don’t underestimate the POWER of God that dwells in you…

Keep Asking, Seeking, Knocking

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread[d] from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Ask the Father right now for His Promised Holy Spirit to Fill you and endue you with the POWER from above and equip you to go out and do his will and see the signs mentioned about following you as you Go!!!

God bless you my friend

I only touched a little bit this morning, but I will continue soon!!!!

Hows Your Balance? September 18, 2011

Good Morning All,

Praise God , I am up early in Gods word and it is so good to start the day as we should. Sometimes our lives can get so unbalanced and nothing seems to work right. Even in our bodies, there are times we we are unbalanced and its not a good feeling and you may have to take medicine or vitamins to get regulated or balanced. Well in our lives with God it is very importance that we live a balanced life. Let look at a scripture and see why.

1 Peter 5:8

Amplified Bible (AMP)

8Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [[a]in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.

We need to be well balanced so that we are not opening a door for Satan to come in and bring destruction on us. We are the ones that have the authority over him and have the responsibility of keep the doors closed. Pastor Rick and I are teaching a course right now on the Believers Authority, it is so important in these last days for the children of God to know who they are and walk in the authority and dominion God has given us. You can catch us live Mon thru Friday at www.livestream.com/pathwaytovictorychurch at 7pm Eastern Time and Sundays at 2pm.

Balance is something you have to work on everyday, because there are constantly things coming at us to KNOCK US OFF BALANCE

Isaiah 33:5-6

King James Version (KJV)

5The LORD is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with judgment and righteousness.

6And wisdom and knowledge shall be the stability of thy times, and strength of salvation: the fear of the LORD is his treasure.

Once of the main ways you can keep you balance is to stay STABLE!! Wisdom and knowledge that come from the word of God shall be the STABILITY of your times!!!!! When you have the wisdom and knowledge of the word of God you can stay balanced and Stable and then you are able to STAND FIRM when an attack comes you way!

PEACE

Colossians 3:15

Amplified Bible (AMP)

15And let the peace (soul harmony which comes) from Christ rule (act as umpire continually) in your hearts [deciding and settling with finality all questions that arise in your minds, in that peaceful state] to which as [members of Christ’s] one body you were also called [to live]. And be thankful (appreciative), [giving praise to God always].

One of the ways you can tell if you are in BALANCE is by checking your Peace gauge. If you are out of Peace, something is out of balance.

Psalm 147:14

New King James Version (NKJV)

14 He makes peace in your borders,
And fills you with the finest wheat.
When you are walking according to the WORD and Gods plan for your life you with have that Peace from the Holy Spirit within, no matter what circumstances you may be going through. Its an internal Peace.
Psalm 29:11

New King James Version (NKJV)

 11 The LORD will give strength to His people;
The LORD will bless His people with peace.God desires and has equipped His people to walk in Strength and Peace. If it is God’s desire for us to walk in Perfect Peace why aren’t we, what are some of the things that may be out of Balanced in our lives.

#1 Your thought life: Where is your thought life??

Isaiah 26:3

New King James Version (NKJV)

3 You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
      Because he trusts in You.

Here it tells us that we can be in that PERFECT PEACE (no matter what situation you’re in) IF Your mind (thoughts) are stayed on Him!!

Think of a couple of examples of People in the bible in peace when in the natural it was a bad situation….Daniel in the lions den, the Hebrew children in the Fiery Furnace and Stephen while he is being STONED TO DEATH!!

This is just one of the first teachings on BALANCE, but I want you to know something today, that NO MATTER what storm or trial you are going through today, GOD WILL BALANCE IT OUT WITH HIS PEACE, IF YOU BALANCE OUT YOUR THOUGHTS AND STAY YOUR THOUGHTS AND TRUST ON HIM!!

God Bless You my Friend

Will you do whatever it takes to be in His Presence? June 11, 2011

Good Morning!

We are in Zephyrhills, FL and we are hungry for the presence of God. In November, the Lord told us to go to extended meetings in our church and we did so! We are still meeting Mon thru Friday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm. The last two weeks the presence of the Lord has gotten stronger and stronger as we sit, stand, lay, kneel in his presence for hours worshiping him. We have to get hungry for His presence and willing to let him do what He longs to do! He wants to be with you!!

When you are desperate, you will do desperate things. For example, some people will stand in line all night for concert tickets, sport event tickets or even for sales on the day after Thanksgiving! If you really want something you will do whatever it takes to get it. Right? Am I right? Lets examine our heart today and see what we really want.  One way to do this is to see where your time and money is going. That shows you pretty quickly what is important to you.

I want to go to the word today and show you some examples of people desperate and to see what they desired to receive..

Matthew 2:1-2

New King James Version (NKJV)

Wise Men from the East

1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, 2 saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

I don’t know how far these wise men traveled to come see the king and worship him, but evidently it was important enough for them to stop everything else they were doing and start on this journey to find the King and worship Him. They saw HIS STAR in the East and didn’t stop till they found him and worshiped him. Have you seen evidence of the presence of God and are you diligent to journey after it till you find it.

Luke 2:8-20

New King James Version (NKJV)

Glory in the Highest

8 Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields, keeping watch over their flock by night. 9 And behold,[a] an angel of the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. 10 Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying:
14 “ Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”[b]

15 So it was, when the angels had gone away from them into heaven, that the shepherds said to one another, “Let us now go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has come to pass, which the Lord has made known to us.” 16 And they came with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Babe lying in a manger. 17 Now when they had seen Him, they made widely[c] known the saying which was told them concerning this Child. 18 And all those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the shepherds. 19 But Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart. 20 Then the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told them.

Here again we see God supernaturally showing a group of people, this time shepherds something that would make them excited about going and doing something. An angel came and told them of the birth of Christ and they stopped what they were doing and made haste to find the baby Jesus. They left totally blessed glorifying and praising God for all they had seen and heard.

Matthew 4:18-22

New King James Version (NKJV)

Four Fishermen Called as Disciples
18 And Jesus, walking by the Sea of Galilee, saw two brothers, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen. 19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 They immediately left their nets and followed Him.
21 Going on from there, He saw two other brothers, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, mending their nets. He called them, 22 and immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed Him.

If you really think about this, it is truly amazing… Jesus was just starting His ministry, he was not known yet by these men, but something caused them to immediately leave everything and follow Him. It was the anointing on Christ life. It was His presence, the Holy Spirit in Him that drew them to Him. Then as the power and presence of Jesus walked through areas and people were healed and set free, the multitudes stopped what they were doing to go see this Jesus.

Matthew 4:23-25

New King James Version (NKJV)
23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people. 24 Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon-possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. 25 Great multitudes followed Him—from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.

All throughout Christ’s ministry we see multitudes of people follow after Him, crying out to Him for Healing and deliverance. They were hungry to be touched and changed by the Master. They were hungry to hear what he had to say, so hungry they would walk for days to be where the master was. Think about it, what were they doing before Christ came? Once he came into their lives everything was changed. Whatever they did before wasn’t important any more..they needed to be with Jesus. Another example of this is in Matthew 9:9 when Jesus passed by and saw a man named Matthew sitting at the tax office and he said to him, Follow me, so he arose and followed him!!  Are you willing to just get up and leave what you are doing to follow him?????

When you truly see who Jesus is and what he wants to do for you, there is NO OBSTACLE that can come between you and Him. We see this in the life of four men who knew the power of Jesus and wanted their friend who was paralyzed to be in the presence of Jesus and receive his healing. Lets look at Mark 2.

 Mark 2

Jesus Forgives and Heals a Paralytic

1 And again He entered Capernaum after some days, and it was heard that He was in the house. 2 Immediately[a] many gathered together, so that there was no longer room to receive them, not even near the door. And He preached the word to them. 3 Then they came to Him, bringing a paralytic who was carried by four men. 4 And when they could not come near Him because of the crowd, they uncovered the roof where He was. So when they had broken through, they let down the bed on which the paralytic was lying.
5 When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”

Your actions will show your faith!! Will you do what you need to do to get into the presence of Jesus? In His presence is everything you need. Joy, Peace, Provision, Healing, Unconditional Love…. But most people aren’t willing to give up what they were doing and press in through the stuff of this world into the presence of Jesus. Now I want to show you the devotion and the dedication to Christ that was still present and even grew stronger after he was taken back into Heaven. Just because He is not here with us physically doesn’t mean he is not calling you to stop what you are doing and follow Him! Lets look at the last thing Christ said after his resurrection and right before he was taken back up to Heaven.

Acts 1

The Holy Spirit Promised
4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; 5 for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.” 6 Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” 7 And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. 8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me[a] in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Jesus Ascends to Heaven
9 Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.

Wait for the promise of the Father!  He didn’t say how long to wait he said wait!!! As they were obedient to follow his commands there life changed!! We see in Acts chapter 2 as the Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost everything changed. Let’s look at their life after the day of Pentecost and see what the Children of God did with their time.

Acts 2:40-47

New King James Version (NKJV)

A Vital Church Grows
40 And with many other words he testified and exhorted them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation.” 41 Then those who gladly[a] received his word were baptized; and that day about three thousand souls were added to them. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and sold their possessions and goods, and divided them among all, as anyone had need.
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church[b] daily those who were being saved.

The early church was hungry and desperate for the things of God and it showed by their actions. The continued steadfastly in the word of God , fellowship, breaking of bread and in prayers. They cared about all those in there fellowship and provided for those in need, but most of all they CONTINUED DAILY WITH ONE ACCORD!! They were in the temple daily in one accord, breaking bread from house to house, eating their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all people and the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.

The reason the power and presence of God was so strong in this building all last week was we met together daily in one accord and we were hungry and desperate for God to come and touch us and change us. You will get whatever you are desperately devoted to go after. We are desperate for the presence of the Living God to fill this place and bring in the hurting people to meet a Loving God. Will it just happen, no we have to make the decision and go after it!! He who hungers and thirsts after righteousness will be filled. But you can’t be filled with God and this world at the same time! You have to make a choice, Its either ALL of God or ALL of this world. The time is coming where you cannot have your feet in both worlds, You have to make a choice for yourself!! Are you hungry enough for God to do whatever it takes to be in His presence?

God Bless you!

Is Change Evident in Your Life? September 1, 2010

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 7:59 am

Good Morning Eveyone,

As I began to study this morning many scriptures started coming to my mind, and in most cases it was how people changed after having an Encounter with God. My question to you this morning is, “Is Change Evident is Your Life”?

Lets start with the scriptures and we can examine our lives and see if we have changed and what areas of our lives may still need that touch from the Masters Hand.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (New King James Version)

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Here the word tells us that there is a CHANGE when we come to know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. You become a new creation, OLD things are Gone!!  So many of us try to hold on to the OLD things! ALL things have become new. I believe this happens at salvation as you become a child of the Living God, but I also believe that we have to continually renew our mind to this verse, as Satan will continue to bring up your past and condemn you for things done in the past. You have the authority to tell Satan, thats Gone, it has been washed by the blood!

Lets take a look at the story of Saul on the Road to Damascus and see if change was evident in his life after an encounter with the Lord…….

Acts 9

The Damascus Road: Saul Converted

1 Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest 2 and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.
3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”
5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?”
Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.[a] It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”
6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?”
Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
7 And the men who journeyed with him stood speechless, hearing a voice but seeing no one. 8 Then Saul arose from the ground, and when his eyes were opened he saw no one. But they led him by the hand and brought him into Damascus. 9 And he was three days without sight, and neither ate nor drank.

Ananias Baptizes Saul

17 And Ananias went his way and entered the house; and laying his hands on him he said, “Brother Saul, the Lord Jesus,[b] who appeared to you on the road as you came, has sent me that you may receive your sight and be filled with the Holy Spirit.” 18 Immediately there fell from his eyes something like scales, and he received his sight at once; and he arose and was baptized.
19 So when he had received food, he was strengthened. Then Saul spent some days with the disciples at Damascus.

Saul Preaches Christ

20 Immediately he preached the Christ[c] in the synagogues, that He is the Son of God.

As you can see here there was an immediate change in Sauls life and God changed his name to Paul.

Galatians 5

Christian Liberty

1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free,[a] and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Here Paul is telling us to STAND FAST in the Liberty by which Christ made us free. We are free from our old way of living, he warns us in the next part, DO NOT be ENTANGED again with a yoke of bondage….

   Love Fulfills the Law

Galatians 5
7 You ran well. Who hindered you from obeying the truth? 8 This persuasion does not come from Him who calls you. 9 A little leaven leavens the whole lump. 10 I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will have no other mind; but he who troubles you shall bear his judgment, whoever he is.

13 For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”[b] 15 But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!

Walking in the Spirit

16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.

We need to continually examine our lives, our actions and our words and make sure we are Walking in the Spirit and not fulfilling the lust of the flesh. In the world we live in the lust of the flesh has been acceptable in the worlds eyes. You can see these evident almost everywhere you look. The question today is: Have you allowed any of these things to creep in and have a strong hold in your life? God has set you free and you have the power and authority to be Led by the Spirit instead of Living in the works of the flesh.

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[c] fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[d] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

The previous scriptures help us to evalute our walk daily! Are we walking in the flesh or in the Spirit? If we allow selfishness come in or hatred or offense, we are allowing the works of the flesh to creep in our life and it will be evident in our lifestyle.  Also the fruit of the Spirit is evidence that we are walking in the Spirit! Daily we need to walk in love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self control!
1 Peter 1
Living Before God Our Father

13 Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; 15 but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, 16 because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”[c]

Because of our relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior we are equipped to walk in Holiness. His word says be holy for I am holy. We must be holy in our conduct as he says in the previous verse. God is a Good Father and wants us to walk in the fullness of His Promise and we must walk in obedience to His Word.
God Bless You and Keep you as we grow together in HIS Word!

HI Everyone,

Its time to walk on Water and do the things Jesus did and even greater things!!!

Still without internet at home, so we are at a local restaurant. I just wanted to share a thought with you that I have been meditating on the last few weeks. I did a blog a couple of weeks ago on God’s pattern for the church, using Acts Chapter 2 as the basis for the teaching. I believe there is a key in that teaching along with the results that come in the following chapters of Acts because of Chapters 1 and 2 in the book of Acts. I have heard that we are living in Acts Chapter 29 right now! I believe God’s word that says, we will do the things Jesus did and even greater things because He went to the Father and sent us the Holy Spirit!! I am excited to see the church Body ARISE and walk in the Boldness and the Power that is available in the Holy Spirit!! I believe God is going to have me dwell and study the chapters of Acts and I will be teaching more as He gives me more revelation! He wants to guide us and equip us for the journey he has for us to walk in!

I will be back as soon as I can. Please keep us in your prayer as there has been so many changes and MORE coming!!

Love in Christ,

Pastor Carol

Good Morning my Friends,

Life with Jesus is incredible and words can’t express what has been taken place in our lives laately. God has been so faithful and true to His Word and we are walking in the NEW in every area of our lives…………..it is so AWESOME to see God’s Hand REALLY ordering your steps and directing your paths. We know from His Word that the steps of the righteous are ordered of the Lord and that He promises us that if we acknowledge Him in all our ways He will direct our paths. Well my friends, this is what we are truly experiencing right now in our lives, and you can too!! Our new church building and thrift store is up and running, we are ministering to people on a daily basis, we are forming  close friendships and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ and God is moving us to Zephyrhills, 3 minutes from the church/thrift store! GOD IS NOT SLACK CONCERNING HIS PROMISES!!

As I woke up this morning I was meditating on what God wants for our church. What is HIS PLAN AND PURPOSE?

I turned to Acts and read Chapters 1and 2. I would like to highlight some of the verses that God spoke to me about and the desires he is arousing in my heart for us to walk in during the next few months in our church…

Acts 2

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Look what happened after the Holy Spirit was received. The word of God was preached with power and boldness and people GLADLY received the word and were baptized and that day about 3,000 souls were added to the kingdom of God! Could that happen in our churches today??? I believe it can and will for those who believe and are walking in God’s plan and purpose for their church. Lets go further and see what happens….

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The people continued steadfastly…..  This is one area I do not see the body of Christ walking in at this time. We need to be steadfast  or another word diligent in the things of God. Lets look at what they continued to do steadfastly or diligently….

              1.  was in the apostles doctrine, other words in the study of the word of God

              2. Fellowship with each other

              3. Breaking of Bread

              4. Prayer

Wow, These are the four areas that the first church focused on after the day of Pentecost and the results were wonderful! How diligent are we as a body of Christ in these four areas? Is there room for improvement?

43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

Here you can see the results of them being diligent and steadfast in the 4 areas listed above. A reverential fear of God came upon every soul and wonders and signs were being done. Can that still happen today? Of course it can!! Lets look in the verses below and see how the people lives were changed as they were STEADFAST and DILIGENT in those four areas of Studying the Word of God together, Fellowship together, Breaking Bread together and Prayer together

   44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

And all that believed were together…..Wow, that sounds like one body functioning together, sounds like one body with many parts fitted jointly together…..NOT individuals doing their own thing!!! and they had all things in common!! That means they didn’t have a heart that was selfish and thought only about themselves, but they were concerned and took care of their WHOLE BODY!!

45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Lets look and see what happened as people got over themselves and thinking just about themselves and their needs and started really uniting with the other believers…… You are not an island unto yourselves. You need others and they need you!!

46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The early church walked in the Commanded Blessing of God because they did it Gods way!! The result of their steadfastness and diligence in the word, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer was unity, singleness of heart, gladness, favor with all people and then the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved!

I am so thankful for this morning and the revelation God is teaching me here. I pray that you are catching it also and will walk in the fullness of His Word!!

God bless you and Keep you,

Pastor Carol
