Pastor Carol Mora
On November 15th, 1972 Carol Colburn
(Now Carol Mora)
Accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. It was a very exciting time in her life and she was very hungry for the things of God. She attended various adult prayer meetings and
bible studies along with a variety of youth group activities. During her older teenage years, she fell away from the things of God and lived in the worldly realm for a period of time. During that time she married and had two wonderful children. When her son was about seven years old a friend asked him to be in a Christmas play at their church. The moment she set foot in that service her heart was turned back to her relationship with Jesus Christ. She found herself once again with a hunger for the things of God. Her relationship with her Lord and Savior kept her through some trying years which ultimately led to a divorce with her first husband. During the next 13 years Carol sought the Lord with all her heart, soul and mind. The Lord called her to Bible School for a year in Tampa, Florida and then sent her on a couple trips with that ministry to minister salvation to the lost. It is an experience she will never
forget. During these 13 years God crossed her path with various people which sowed into her life and she sowed into theirs. For about the last 5 years of this 13 yr period of time she was connected to a wonderful ministry which imparted many important revelations from the Word of God which is a now a crucial part of her walk with the Lord today.
It was after those 13 years that the biggest desire of her heart came true after a year that had been the hardest one she had been through. It had been a year of much change and as we all know change is not always comfortable. In September of 2008, Carol decided she needed to go away for a few days and seek the Lord about her life and where it was headed. She spent a few days at the beach and even picked up an old broken and ugly shell which represented her life and struggles she faced at that time and threw it into the ocean, symbolizing casting her cares and sin into the sea of forgetfulness. Little did she know that it was that weekend with the Lord that would open the door to the new future God had in store for her.
The very next week she met the man that God had chosen and kept to be her husband for such a time as this. Not only did she meet the man she had been waiting for, but she also met her partner in ministry as God also called them to pastor a church soon after they met. One of most wonderful confirmations the Lord gave
Carol was that they planned the wedding date at the Lords leading for Nov 15th, 2008. It wasn’t till a few weeks later that she came upon her first bible that had the exact date of her salvation in it. November 15th, 1972.
This is a new beginning in the life of Carol Mora and she knows that God’s hand has been on her through the good times and bad. She is very excited to be used by the Lord in a mighty way in this new season of her life.
