Your faith has made you well January 3, 2014

Good Morning My Friends,

Do you know anyone in chronic pain? Or are you yourself suffering in your body on a constant basis? I have met people especially in the last few yrs, being in the ministry, that live with constant pain in their body. I knew they were really dealing with something, but until I experienced constant pain day in and day out, I really wasn’t aware of the toll it takes on every part of your life. It makes even the simplest of daily things hard to accomplish, which begins to wear on your joy and excitement for living….It makes everything harder as you take this constant pain with you wherever you go…. And then if you take medicine to relieve the pain, many times you can’t function and do those things you need to do, even if the pain is masked for a little while….

Well my friend there are a couple examples in the bible, lets take a look.

Mar 5:25  Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,

Mar 5:26  and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.

If we think of her situation you can probably think of someone in your life, or even yourself that has been struggling with a disease or pain for many years and has been in and out of the doctors offices, tried many types of medication, spent much money and YET was no better, or even grew worse…..

Mar 5:27  When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.

Mar 5:28  For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

She dealt with this issue for 12 years and believe me it affected every area of her life. She was not allowed out in public, she could have been stoned, but I believe in her heart she never gave up. I believe her heart was always seeking the answer to her problem. When she heard about Jesus…..Hearing does something to her….

Rom_10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

When this woman HEARD about Jesus, when she heard the WORD….

Joh_1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.

This woman’s life began to change the moment she heard the word of God..when she heard the word…. FAITH CAME. My friends this is the first and most crucial step to being made well. You have to have faith in the word of God and that faith only comes by hearing the word of God. We need to consistently put ourselves in the position of hearing the word of God, those scriptures that deal with healing. The healing scriptures need to be what we feed on until we receive our total healing. Healing is the children’s bread, its there for us, but how do we partake. The key is in FAITH and the key to FAITH is HEARING THE WORD.

Mar 5:29  Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.

Mar 5:30  And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?”

Mar 5:31  But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?'”

Mar 5:32  And He looked around to see her who had done this thing.

Mar 5:33  But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

Mar 5:34  And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.”

Jesus told this woman that it was her faith that made her well. God is no respecter of persons, so if Faith made her well, can faith make us well also. YES, I believe it can. There’s a couple other things that we need to mention.

After she heard about Jesus and faith started to grow because of hearing the word, she did something with that faith. She started speaking it. She said, if only I may touch his clothes I shall be made well. What are we speaking over ourselves. We need to be speaking the word of God over our lives, mixing it with faith and it will happen!!!! Then after hearing, and speaking she walked into her healing by FAITH….

Heb_4:2  For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it.

The word of healing will only profit you when you mix it with faith. And how do you increase your faith? You increase hearing Gods word over your situation.

God bless you as you get into His word and stay there and allow FAITH to rise up and make you well.

WELCOME 2014new-beginnings photo

Praise God for a new beginning! As we close the door on 2013 and walk through the door of 2014, it can be a life changing experience. As I sit here this morning, being obedient to a word spoken to me on New Year’s Eve, many thoughts are running through my mind. I’m not sure where this New Year finds you, but I tell you this morning that it can be a FRESH NEW DAY for you if you would receive it. I take a look back into the last year and I see many blessings from the Lord, but I also see many things in my own life that do not please me. I woke up this morning with a FRESH FIRE burning in my soul. As I prayed I released all those things to God that did not bring Him glory in my life last year, I repented from wrong attitudes and wrong behaviors and have received forgiveness and so much more!! When we get REAL with God and pour out our hearts to him, He is there to forgive us and CLEANSE us from all unrighteousness. I write to you this morning to EMBRACE the new year, EMBRACE this new day, EMBRACE the new gifts and callings that God has for you to walk in during this new year!! In order to be able to do that you have to let go of the past… Some of the verses He showed me this morning are..

1Jn_1:9  If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

I believe today can be a new beginning for you in all things. Spend some time with the Father and get real with Him. Confess to Him those areas in your life that are not pleasing to Him (sin) and ask him to forgive you and cleanse you from all unrighteousness.  He will do it!!!!

Then I believe that there is another step as we go into this NEW YEAR….

Isa 43:18  “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.

Isa 43:19  Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.

We have to believe in our hearts that this year is actually a NEW year and leave the old one behind. The good and the bad of last year, and walk in the newness of what God has for us THIS year!!

Php 3:13  Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,

Php 3:14  I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

Php 3:15  Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you.

I believe that a key for us today as we walk into this new year, is to do as Paul did, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, PRESSING toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.

I am so refreshed this morning as I study and ponder these words and I pray that you too, will be able to separate from the sin that so easily besets us and confess it and run into this NEW year and the NEW things that God has for you with such peace and excitement.

God has a plan for you my friend and it is a good plan. Let go of the past and get ready for the new, don’t allow anything to keep you bound any longer.

I leave you this morning with these words from the apostle Paul, may they encourage and uplift you this day.

Php 4:4  Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Php 4:5  Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Php 4:6  Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Php 4:7  and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Php 4:8  Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.

Php 4:9  The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Php 4:10  But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.

Php 4:11  Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

Php 4:12  I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Php 4:13  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

It is a NEW day!!

God Bless You,
