Hello Everyone,

As I was studying this week for the sermon on Sunday, God highlighted our need for endurance to be able to Run the Race Of Faith!!! We have had some situations lately that really want to stop us in our tracks, or at least wear us down so we are barely moving in the things God would have us to do. I pray that this message will encourage you and strengthen you!

What is endurance and what does it have to do with our walk with the Lord?

Two commercials came to my mind when I thought of endurance.

#1 The Energizer Bunny…. It never stops

#2 Was an old commercial for Timex, takes a licking and keeps on Ticking!!

Endurance is the fight in you, that will not let you stop

and this fight is fueled by your faith!!!

Right now we are in the middle of the Olympics and if you watch any of the different sports, those athletes have practiced and increased their endurance just to compete in these Olympic games. What drives them? A desire and a belief they can win if they don’t quit.

Heb 10:36  For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise:

Wow, see we need endurance so that after we have done the will of God, (In other words lived our life according to His plan and Purpose), we will receive the Promise… the promise of everlasting life with Him forever…

Heb 10:39  But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.

In other words, we need endurance and perserverance as we walk out our life by faith and when it is over and we have not drawn back or quit, we will end our journey on earth in His presence forever.

I think of the many things we endure in the natural realm to acquire something here on earth..You might endure a horrible boss to receive your paycheck each week, or as the athletes in the Olympics you might endures hours of practice and pain to gain that GOLD medal at the end.

But are we willing to endure things for the sake of the Kingdom of God? Or is it easier to just give up and live a life that may be less demanding….

So what do we need endurance in…. we need endurance in our walk of faith!

Or in Hebrews 12:1 it is not called a walk of faith, it is the race of Faith.

Heb 12:1  Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Heb 12:2  looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

So we need endurance in our race of Faith, but what is Faith?

Heb 11:1  Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Heb 11:2  For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.

In the rest of this chapter we are given examples of the elders and their testimony of Faith! I don’t have time to go through each example but you may want to study this on your own..

So what are we to do as we run this race of faith with endurance and perserverance?

Heb 12:12  Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees,

Heb 12:13  and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

Heb 12:14  Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord:

In other words there are times when we just have to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off and get back in the race… Satan would love to take you out of the race or at least get you sidetracked, but BE STRONG in the LORD and in the POWER OF HIS MIGHT!  Remember All things are possible to them who believes!!

God Bless You and Keep You,

What is Humility? July 25, 2012

Filed under: Uncategorized — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 2:36 pm

This week my husband, Pastor Rick and I went through a journey we have never experienced before. Pastor Rick went into the hospital on Monday morning July 16th, 2012 , and was there for 8 days before being release on Monday July 23rd.

It was a very humbling experience for my husband who had never been in the hospital before (except to pray for others). Half way through our journey in the hospital, God really spoke to me about Humility and on that Thursday night I taught on Humility with a new revelation. I would like to share some of this teaching with you, if you would like to see the teaching in its entirety you can go to

As Pastor Rick was in the hospital and went through this entire experience it was humbling because you are totally dependent on others. You are dependent on the Drs. and their wisdom, the nurses and their wisdom and their compassion, you are dependent on the aids for most of your needs that you would normally tend to yourself. You are even dependent on there decision of what you eat and when you eat. In other words when you are in the hospital you have very little control of what is going on. Once you enter into that ER room, you have put yourself under the mercy of others… It is a humbling experience.

As I reached the half way point of of our hospital journey, I had a melt down…. I was tired and running on empty, but as I came to church that night, God touched me and filled me up and gave me a revelation to share.

1Peter 5

Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for

“God resists the proud,
But gives grace to the humble.”[b]

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.

So now if we look at these scriptures about humility and humbling ourselves under the Mighty Hand of God…I believe God is showing us to be TOTALLY DEPENDENT on HIM, just as you are in the the hospital to those who are caring for your Natural needs. God wants us Dependent on him for natural, spiritual and every need we have…  In the hospital we met some very caring nurses and doctors, but NO ONE cares for you like God!! We can humble ourselves by casting ALL our cares on him and trusting him to meet ALL our needs because HE CARES FOR YOU!

I dont know what you may be going through today, but I know that God loves you and cares for you and one of the BEST things you can do is to HUMBLE yourself under Gods mighty hand and cast all your cares on him.. Depend on Him and He will NEVER let you down.

God Bless You and Keep you in His Mighty Hand
