Good Morning my Friends,

Life with Jesus is incredible and words can’t express what has been taken place in our lives laately. God has been so faithful and true to His Word and we are walking in the NEW in every area of our lives…………..it is so AWESOME to see God’s Hand REALLY ordering your steps and directing your paths. We know from His Word that the steps of the righteous are ordered of the Lord and that He promises us that if we acknowledge Him in all our ways He will direct our paths. Well my friends, this is what we are truly experiencing right now in our lives, and you can too!! Our new church building and thrift store is up and running, we are ministering to people on a daily basis, we are forming  close friendships and fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ and God is moving us to Zephyrhills, 3 minutes from the church/thrift store! GOD IS NOT SLACK CONCERNING HIS PROMISES!!

As I woke up this morning I was meditating on what God wants for our church. What is HIS PLAN AND PURPOSE?

I turned to Acts and read Chapters 1and 2. I would like to highlight some of the verses that God spoke to me about and the desires he is arousing in my heart for us to walk in during the next few months in our church…

Acts 2

41Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

Look what happened after the Holy Spirit was received. The word of God was preached with power and boldness and people GLADLY received the word and were baptized and that day about 3,000 souls were added to the kingdom of God! Could that happen in our churches today??? I believe it can and will for those who believe and are walking in God’s plan and purpose for their church. Lets go further and see what happens….

42And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

The people continued steadfastly…..  This is one area I do not see the body of Christ walking in at this time. We need to be steadfast  or another word diligent in the things of God. Lets look at what they continued to do steadfastly or diligently….

              1.  was in the apostles doctrine, other words in the study of the word of God

              2. Fellowship with each other

              3. Breaking of Bread

              4. Prayer

Wow, These are the four areas that the first church focused on after the day of Pentecost and the results were wonderful! How diligent are we as a body of Christ in these four areas? Is there room for improvement?

43And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

Here you can see the results of them being diligent and steadfast in the 4 areas listed above. A reverential fear of God came upon every soul and wonders and signs were being done. Can that still happen today? Of course it can!! Lets look in the verses below and see how the people lives were changed as they were STEADFAST and DILIGENT in those four areas of Studying the Word of God together, Fellowship together, Breaking Bread together and Prayer together

   44And all that believed were together, and had all things common;

And all that believed were together…..Wow, that sounds like one body functioning together, sounds like one body with many parts fitted jointly together…..NOT individuals doing their own thing!!! and they had all things in common!! That means they didn’t have a heart that was selfish and thought only about themselves, but they were concerned and took care of their WHOLE BODY!!

45And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Lets look and see what happened as people got over themselves and thinking just about themselves and their needs and started really uniting with the other believers…… You are not an island unto yourselves. You need others and they need you!!

46And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

47Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

The early church walked in the Commanded Blessing of God because they did it Gods way!! The result of their steadfastness and diligence in the word, fellowship, breaking of bread and prayer was unity, singleness of heart, gladness, favor with all people and then the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved!

I am so thankful for this morning and the revelation God is teaching me here. I pray that you are catching it also and will walk in the fullness of His Word!!

God bless you and Keep you,

Pastor Carol

The Door of Utterance is Being Opened! May 16, 2010

Good Morning Everyone!

God is so Good and Faithful to His Word! It is with much Praise to our God that we share with you this morning that God is Opening the Door of Utterance for our Ministry in Zephyrhills. Lets look at a verse that Pastor Rick and I have prayed and kept in our heart for the last year and now we are seeing it manifested.

Colossians 4:3
Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

Here Paul is asking for prayer that God would open up to them a door of uttertance to speak the mystery of Christ. For all of us those doors may be different, but God will show you the door he has for you in order to speak the mystery of Christ, and then he will OPEN that door. God showed Pastor Rick and I that the door for us to speak the mystery of Christ was not only our church, but also a thrift store connected to the church. We have clung to that vision God gave to us and we have seen in come to pass. We officially OPEN the doors tomorrow to the thrift store, but the last few weeks as we set up the store we have had the DOOR OPEN and allowed people to come in and browse. It has been so awesome! We have met so many awesome brothers and sisters in the Lord and have had many opportunities to pray and encourage God’s children.

I will post a few of the photos of the store, but I want you to realize that the store is just the DOOR to minister into peoples life. What DOOR is God putting in front of you to allow you access into someones life to minister to them. Use the door, don’t be afraid to go through it! Allow God to put the door in front of you and allow Him to OPEN it!!

We give God all the Glory, Honor and Praise for launching us into His plan and purpose for our lives!

God Bless You!

Come visit us anytime!

Inquire of the Lord May 10, 2010

Good Morning Everyone,

This morning I am meditating on the subject of Inquiring of the Lord. I looked up the meaing and it is  : to put a question : seek for information by questioning. When our hearts desire is to truly walk in Gods ways in our life, it is imparitvie that we get HIS direction. David is a great example for us on Inquiring of the Lord. In the examples below, David questioned the Lord to seek information and direction. He desired to be LED by the Lord.

  • 1 Samuel 10:22 (Whole Chapter)
Therefore they inquired of the Lord further, if the man would yet come back. And the Lord answered, Behold, he has hidden himself among the baggage. [Exod 28:30 ]
  • When we ask and inquire of the Lord he will expose those things to us that we need to know. He will expose those hidden things that in the natural we cannot see.

  • 1 Samuel 22:10 (Whole Chapter)
And [Ahimelech] inquired of the Lord for him, and gave him provisions and the sword of Goliath the Philistine.

  • We can also inquire of the Lord on someone elses behalf. You can seek the Lord to give someone else the direction they are looking for and even seek the Lord if you are to do anything on their behalf, as Ahimelech did.
  •
  •

These next examples are of David inquiring of the Lord. David is seeking God directions and instructions. Davids heart was to please God. He knew His God and He sought out the direction of the Lord on the steps he was to take. This is a very important step in gaing the victory that God has for us to walk in daily in our lives. Are we doing what looks right or are we getting before the Lord to get his instructions.

  • 1 Samuel 23:2 (Whole Chapter)
So David inquired of the Lord, Shall I go and attack these Philistines? And the Lord said to David, Go, smite the Philistines and save Keilah.

  • 1 Samuel 23:4 (Whole Chapter)
Then David inquired of the Lord again. And the Lord answered him, Arise, go down to Keilah, for I will deliver the Philistines into your hand.

  • 1 Samuel 30:8 (Whole Chapter)
And David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue this troop? Shall I overtake them? The Lord answered him, Pursue, for you shall surely overtake them and without fail recover all.

  • 2 Samuel 2:1 (Whole Chapter)
AFTER THIS, David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up into any of the cities of Judah? And the Lord said to him, Go up. David said, To which shall I go up? And He said, To Hebron.

  • 2 Samuel 5:19 (Whole Chapter)
David inquired of the Lord, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand? And the Lord said to David, Go up, for I will surely deliver [them] into your hand.

  • 2 Samuel 5:23 (Whole Chapter)
When David inquired of the Lord, He said, You shall not go up, but go around behind them and come upon them over opposite the mulberry (or balsam) trees.

  • 2 Samuel 21:1 (Whole Chapter)
THERE WAS a three-year famine in the days of David, year after year; and David inquired of the Lord. The Lord replied, It is on account of Saul and his bloody house, for he put to death the Gibeonites.
  • When David came to the Lord and Inquired of the Lord, The Lord always Answered!! David came with integrity of heart, knowing who His God was and desireing to get His instructions and do it Gods way with Gods help!!! Lets see what happens when you inquire of the Lord and you don’t have the right heart and you aren’t doing it for the right reasons.

    1 Samuel 28:6 (Whole Chapter)
When Saul inquired of the Lord, He refused to answer him, either by dreams or by Urim [a symbol worn by the priest when seeking the will of God for Israel] or by the prophets. [Prov 1:24-30 ]

Here we see Saul inquiring of the Lord and it says that the Lord refused to answer him. Lets go to Proverbs 1:24-30 for some more information on why God refused to answer him.

    Proverbs 1

23Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.

       24Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;

25But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof:

       26I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

27When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you.

28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:

29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

God’s desire is to lead us and guide us into all righteousness for His name sake. He wants to answer us when we call.  We find many scriptures even in the new testament that teach us this fact. Ask and you shall receive, Seek and you shall find, Knock and the door shall be open for you. What we want to find out is WHY does this not always seem to happen………. as we see in this verse.    28Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me:  God answers this question in the next verse. It is because of their heart…29For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD:

30They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof.

31Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

In other words when we inquire of the Lord, we have to have a heart to hear and obey as David did. If your heart is not open to Gods ways of doing things, to his counsel and even his correction, you will shut up the communications that you need from God and you will be doing it on your own.

Be encouraged today. God wants to lead you and direct you. He wants to give you the steps you need every day to walk in victory and possess the land. Proverbs 3:5-8 sums it up:

5Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

7Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

8It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.

    God Bless you,

Trust God today, acknowledge him in ALL your ways and HE will direct your paths!!
