Is Integrity Guiding You? March 28, 2010

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:19 am

Good Morning Everyone,

The word INTEGRITY has been hi-lighted to my heart this last week, as I was put in some positions to do what the world has deemed acceptable or to really take a stand and walk in the integrity that I have in my relationship with Christ!!!

Proverbs 11:3  The integrity of the upright shall guide them, but the willful contrariness and crookedness of the treacherous shall destroy them.

 in·teg·ri·ty [ in téggrətee ] noun Definition:

1. possession of firm principles: the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to high moral principles or professional standards

With Jesus Christ living in us, the Holy Spirit which raised Christ from the dead, we have the power in our lives to walk in integrity if we choose to do so!

 2. completeness: the state of being complete or undivided ( formal ) the territorial integrity of the nation

 3. wholeness: the state of being sound or undamaged ( formal ) public confidence in the integrity of the voting process

Lets look at a situation that arose, where the integrity of someones heart actually kept him from sinning, when he wasn’t aware of the whole picture! If our heart is right before God and we are wanting to walk uprightly and in integrity, God will enlighten the situation so you can make the right choice if you choose.

Genesis 20

1And Abraham journeyed from thence toward the south country, and dwelled between Kadesh and Shur, and sojourned in Gerar.

2And Abraham said of Sarah his wife, She is my sister: and Abimelech king of Gerar sent, and took Sarah.

3But God came to Abimelech in a dream by night, and said to him, Behold, thou art but a dead man, for the woman which thou hast taken; for she is a man’s wife.

4But Abimelech had not come near her: and he said, LORD, wilt thou slay also a righteous nation?

5Said he not unto me, She is my sister? and she, even she herself said, He is my brother: in the integrity of my heart and innocency of my hands have I done this.

6And God said unto him in a dream, Yea, I know that thou didst this in the integrity of thy heart; for I also withheld thee from sinning against me: therefore suffered I thee not to touch her.

God is a gracious God. He withheld the King from sinning againist God because he saw the integrity of the Kings heart and then he gave the king a choice, to do the right thing or not. Because of the integrity of the Kings heart and because of protection on Abraham and Sarah, God intervened and exposed the truth!!

7Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine.

8Therefore Abimelech rose early in the morning, and called all his servants, and told all these things in their ears: and the men were sore afraid.

9Then Abimelech called Abraham, and said unto him, What hast thou done unto us? and what have I offended thee, that thou hast brought on me and on my kingdom a great sin? thou hast done deeds unto me that ought not to be done.

10And Abimelech said unto Abraham, What sawest thou, that thou hast done this thing?

11And Abraham said, Because I thought, Surely the fear of God is not in this place; and they will slay me for my wife’s sake.

Sometimes our thoughts will cause us to do things we may not should do, God searches our heart and in this case brought protection over Abraham, Sarah and the King.

12And yet indeed she is my sister; she is the daughter of my father, but not the daughter of my mother; and she became my wife.

13And it came to pass, when God caused me to wander from my father’s house, that I said unto her, This is thy kindness which thou shalt shew unto me; at every place whither we shall come, say of me, He is my brother.

14And Abimelech took sheep, and oxen, and menservants, and womenservants, and gave them unto Abraham, and restored him Sarah his wife.

15And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before thee: dwell where it pleaseth thee.

Lets look at another example:

1 Kings 9

1And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king’s house, and all Solomon’s desire which he was pleased to do,

2That the LORD appeared to Solomon the second time, as he had appeared unto him at Gibeon.

3And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

4And if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, in integrity of heart, and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded thee, and wilt keep my statutes and my judgments:

5Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.

God is setting the two choices before Solomon, and not only the two choices, but also the promise or consequence of those choices… Walking in Integrity of  Heart and Uprightness before the Lord is important to God and will determine the future events of our lives and he continues to explain to Solomon in the proceeding verses.

6But if ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:

7Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:

8And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath the LORD done thus unto this land, and to this house?

9And they shall answer, Because they forsook the LORD their God, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.

There is promises and consequences on all of our actions and sometimes it effects many in our pathway, not just our own lives. That is why it is so important to walk in integrity in all situations.

David knew the  importance of walking in integrity and that integrity and uprightness would PRESERVE him through tough and difficult times.. Lets look at the following verses in Psalms and see Davids veiw on integrity:

Psalm 7:8  The LORD shall judge the people: judge me, O LORD, according to my righteousness, and according to mine integrity that is in me.

Psalm 25:21 Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.

David knew the  importance of walking in integrity and that integrity and uprightness would PRESERVE him through tough and difficult times..

Psalm 26:1 Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in mine integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

He knew that walking in integrity and trusting God was a key for him not to slide or to stumble and fall.

Psalm 26:11  But as for me, I will walk in mine integrity: redeem me, and be merciful unto me.

Not everyone around you will make the choice to walk with integrity and there will be those around you, may even family members like Job had that would say, are you still going to hold fast to your integrity, just curse God and die. But we have to know that as we hold onto integrity, God redeems the situation and is merciful to us.

Psalm 41:12  And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.

God upholds us and we can dwell face to face will him forever as we choose to consistantly walk in righteousness and integrity. It is our choice.

Proverbs 11:3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

This is the scripture I began with! We have a choice everyday to walk in the integrity of the upright or in the perverseness of trangressors. When we become a child of the living God we become the righteousness of God and we are the upright in His eyes. We need to make the decision daily to live by his word and allow his word to guide our every thought and action!! He has given us allow we need to walk with integrity and allow it to guide us, now its our choice.

There are blessings that come from making the decision to walk in integrity:

Proverbs 20:7 The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.

Psalm 101:2 (Whole Chapter) I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way–O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.

Proverbs 1:3 Receive instruction in wise dealing and the discipline of wise thoughtfulness, righteousness, justice, and integrity,

Proverbs 2:7 He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him); He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity,

Proverbs 19:1 BETTER IS a poor man who walks in his integrity than a rich man who is perverse in his speech and is a [self-confident] fool.

There is also a consequence of compromising your integrity.

Proverbs 25:26  Like a muddied fountain and a polluted spring is a righteous man who yields, falls down, and compromises his integrity before the wicked.

I pray this teaching has brought some revelation and understanding. We live in a world that is constantly drawing us to walk as they walk… Constantly testing our integrity. Hold fast to your profession of Faith and live the life of intregrity that God has for you to live. Be the light to the darkness around you.

God Bless You,

Supernatural Provision in Time of Need March 22, 2010

Good Morning Everyone!!

I am so excited to be in the word of God today!! I am so excited that no matter what the circumstances look like that we are going through, God’s word NEVER changes!! He is a Faithful God and will never leave us or forsake us. “My God will supply all of your needs according to his riches in Glory”

I know that the economy right now is effecting many people these days both believers and non-believers. Being in the ministry we have had the opportunity to meet alot of people lately that are really in a Time of Need. I don’t know how these economic times are affecting you, but no matter what your need is right now, I believe your answer is in the word of God!

God will meet us wherever we are…..I have always been taught that when you are going through something, that you go and search the scriptures for the answers for that particular circumstance, so that is what we will do this morning!!

God is a God of Supernatural Provision!! We just need to see what OUR PART is and then line up with His Word!!!

Lets start in  1 Kings 17 :

1 Kings 17

1And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.

2And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

The first thing we must have is the WORD OF THE LORD! God is a faithful God and if you are seeking Him, you WILL find Him!! We have to make sure that we are being led by His word and not the external cirucumstances of this world we live in.

3Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

4And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.

We need to make sure we are in the PLACE that God has for us to be, no matter what it looks like in the naural, either we trust God or we don’t, there is no in between!!! Our ways are not His ways and sometimes we believe we know how God is going to supply a need… I am asking you this morning to BE OPEN to the word that God gives you. To the natural mind it may seem crazy, but we need to receive the word of God into our Spirit and Trust it!  To the natural mind, the thought of Ravens feeding a man is crazy, but that was God’s provision for Elijah at that time.

5So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

6And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

Elijah was obedient to go where God told him to go and trusted God’s provision and it came to pass, just as God had said.

7And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

Uh Oh….Change is here…… I don’t know how Elijah was, but I tend to get uncomfortable with change, trusting God for the next step isn’t always easy……………. Time to get the current instructions….

8And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

9Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

Lets look at the situation here and how God is handling it and it may give you a new insight on ways he may direct you and provide for you. In the first situation, God commanded nature to be the prophets provision, It was an unusual source of supply, but God spoke it and it was so!!!

Next he commanded a widow woman…. He used another person to meet the need!! But as you look closer, this widow woman doesn’t look in the natural that she is capable of doing what God has commanded her to do. It said God has commanded a widow woman to sustain you…. Lets go on and look at the situation that Elijah found as he went where the Lord told him to go…

10So he arose and went to Zarephath. And when he came to the gate of the city, behold, the widow woman was there gathering of sticks: and he called to her, and said, Fetch me, I pray thee, a little water in a vessel, that I may drink.

11And as she was going to fetch it, he called to her, and said, Bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand.

12And she said, As the LORD thy God liveth, I have not a cake, but an handful of meal in a barrel, and a little oil in a cruse: and, behold, I am gathering two sticks, that I may go in and dress it for me and my son, that we may eat it, and die.

This is a key for us to remember! In the natural it did not look like there was provision for either one of them. But it took BOTH of the to be obedient to the WORD of God and the supernatural provision was realeased!!! We cannot live in the spirit realm and judge things with our natural eyes, your natural senses will limit what God can do for you!!! Her future in the natural didn’t look very promising…

13And Elijah said unto her, Fear not; go and do as thou hast said: but make me thereof a little cake first, and bring it unto me, and after make for thee and for thy son.

The first thing that the prophet told her after she had described the natural circumstances to him, was FEAR NOT, GO AND DO!!! I believe that same thing happens to us today. God tells us to go do something and we are compelled to explain to him the natural circumstances and he responds calmly, FEAR NOT, GO AND DO!!  Then he will explain his promise!

14For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

15And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.

16And the barrel of meal wasted not, neither did the cruse of oil fail, according to the word of the LORD, which he spake by Elijah.

Wow, Elijah did what God said to do and the widow woman did what she was to do and they and the house were all supernaturally provided for….Praise God…a happy ending no more need for faith or obedience right??? NO….thats not the way God does it!! He wants us to continually be obedient and trust him to lead us!!

This story has so much for us to learn from…. We want to be led to a place of provision like the brook and STAY THERE…. but that is not what God has for us… If Elijah stayed at the brook, he would have died from hunger and so would have the widow women and her son… Our actions not only affect ourselves, but others as well… Well lets go ahead and see what happens next. As you know, tomorrow has problems of its own….

17And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.

18And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?

Ok, heres another of lifes circumstances staring us in the face, how do we respond?? Here God had brought this woman a word from God and has saved her life and her sons life and provided for the man of God at the same time and the her son dies………….. Why God..are you calling my sin to rememberance and taking away my son???  She is lost of understanding at this point looking at the circumstances in the natural. BUT GOD!!

19And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.

20And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?

Even Elijah might not have understood the events happening in the natural realm, but HE KNEW HIS GOD!!!

21And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child’s soul come into him again.

When things don’t look like they should in the natural realm, we have a place to go!! Elijah took the situation to God!! He cried out to him 3 times and God showed himself strong on his behalf!!

22And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.

23And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.

24And the woman said to Elijah, Now by this I know that thou art a man of God, and that the word of the LORD in thy mouth is truth.

When people see how we handle those tough times in our natural circumstance, they will be able to see God in us, if we are doing things HIS way. Keep the Word of God in your mouth and it will never return void!!

I pray this ministered to you today!! God will give you the word and as you are willing and obedient you will eat the fruit of the land!!

God bless you!

By Faith!! March 17, 2010

Good Morning Everyone!

I woke up this morning with these 2 words going through my heart… BY FAITH…………..

I immediately thought of the Faith chapter in the bible… By Faith

Hebrews 11

1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

2For by it the elders obtained a good report.

3Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

4By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

6But it without faith is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

7By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

8By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

9By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

10For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

11Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

12Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

13These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Wow, there is so much even in just these 13 verses on doing things BY FAITH… and there is much more in the word of God concerning faith, but I believe for today we will stay with these verses and see where God is taking us!!

1Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

The first thing I would like us to realize if that Faith is a substance…it is the evidence…. Faith is a real thing…it is not just a feeling or an emotion, it is a substance and it is the evidence!! Think for a minute how important evidence is in a court of law!! It is crucial!! They do not go by feelings, emotions or hear-say, they must have EVIDENCE!!

Secondly, God gave each of us a measure fo Faith!!!

Romans 12:3
For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly,
according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

You may have heard some people be called Generals in the Faith.. We have all been given the measure of faith… So much depends of what we do with that measure…. You find in other places of the Word of God where it speaks of using your faith and even increasing your faith!!! We may go more into those details at a later time, but I want to hit one more very important key before we go on.

Thirdly  6But it without faith is impossible to please him:

Faith is the substance that we use to Please the Father God. It pleases him when we walk in the fullness of all he has for us to do… and we can only do that BY FAITH!!!! As I started this teaching this morning, I thought about a question that we ask God many times in our lives..HOW???

How Lord are the bills going to get paid?

How Lord can I possibly do that thing you have told me to do?

How Lord? How Lord? How Lord??

Am I alone is this or have you ever thought or approached God with this question???

Well I believe His answer has been and always will be…BY FAITH!!!

In the above verses in Hebrews 11, lets look at just a couple of things that were accomplished by Faith!

By Faith elders obtained a good report.

Through faith  the worlds were framed by the word of God.

4By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain,

   5By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death;

11Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

It was BY FAITH that men and women just like you and me were able to walk in the Supernatural plans and purposes that God had for them to walk in…. We are able to do the same in our lives, by doing it the same way they did it!! BY FAITH!!!

I encourage you today, that God has given you everything you need to carry out His Plan and Purpose for your life. And it begins and ends with FAITH!

God Bless you,

Pastor Carol

Fix your eyes on Jesus! March 16, 2010

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:04 am

Good Morning all,

I had the priveledge of preaching this week and it was awesome. It is truly my hearts desire to be used in every way God has for me to be used!! I preached on God’s path for us, using some of the information from previous blogs along with some new teaching God gave me. I have included the new teaching in the blog for today!! We must stay fixed on the path He has for us to get the benifits He has provided for us! Praise God!

Proverbs 4:25-26 25

Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you.

26Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright.

These verses are a reminder of the saying you have heard many times….”Watch Where you are going”! Have you ever not paid attention to what you are doing or seen someone and heard those words….watch where you are going!!! This is a very important principal that the Lord is giving us… If we are not purposely fixed on the Lord and where he is taking us, it will be very easy to be Side tracked!! Then you are taken completely off the path God has for you and it is a struggle to get back over to where you are supposed to be. The reason these verses are so important is because when we get our eyes off of Jesus and His plan and purpose for our lives, we take a side road… He showed me a picture this morning of a large river with many tributaries going off of it….

It is a part of the river, but not going the same direction any longer What are those things that will take you off the path that God has for you?? A main one that God has highlighted in my life this week is offense and judgement!! When you allow yourself to get offended or judge someone or even some event that happened, you are opening the door to vere off course. If your spirit is sensitive to the Holy Spirit in you, it can be easily recognized and repented from and immediately back on course. I am so thankful that when I am out of line lately it is very evident to me and everyone around me…( not always fun that others can see it) , but when it it exposed it can be dealt with!! We don’t want to waste even a day going in the wrong direction of the path God has for you. Another reason you want to be on the path he has for you is because of the following verses…

Passage Isaiah 52:11-12: 11

Depart, depart, go out from there [the lands of exile]! Touch no unclean thing! Go out of the midst of her [Babylon]; cleanse yourselves and be clean, you who bear the vessels of the Lord [on your journey from there].(A)

12For you will not go out with haste, nor will you go in flight [as was necessary when Israel left Egypt]; for the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

God will go before us and boy is that a great incentive to stay on the path he has for you!!!He goes before us and HE shall fight for you!!!! We want to make sure that we are on the same path he is on!! In verse 12 it also says that not only will God go before us, but as we deart from evil he will also be our rear guard!! There is protection when you are on the path that God has for you. He will go before you and he will protect you from the back!!

Passage Isaiah 45:2: 2I will go before you and level the mountains [to make the crooked places straight]; I will break in pieces the doors of bronze and cut asunder the bars of iron.

I see 2 paths in front of me……… One is barren and dry and really out in the wilderness…. the other one is dripping with abundance… It is plush and green and has fruit growing all around it…(thats a whole other teaching….Fruit comes when you are on God’s path) Which path are you choosing today, you have a choice everyday, where you are going in your life. Some people may say things just happen…………..NO you have choices every minute of your day. God said I have set before you life and death..choose life….. God has crowned the year with His goodness and His Paths Drip with abundance (Ps 65″11) and how do we receive this promise and walk in the fullness of it, by fulfilling our part in Proverbs 3:5. Are you trusting in God with all your heart? Are you not leaning on your own understanding and are you acknowleding Him in all your ways? Receive His Promises new and afresh in your life today!!! Enjoy the goodness and Abundance that God has for you to walk in TODAY!!

God Bless You,

Pastor Carol

God’s Paths Drip with Abundance! March 11, 2010

Good Morning!!

Praise God this morning for who he is!!! He is the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end, He is my savior, my redeemer, my provider, my father (abba daddy), my healer, my peace,my love, my guide and direction and so much more!! He is truly all we need!!!

Have you ever had God take a scripture from His Word and change it from a word on a page to a word in your heart? That is what He wants to do and that is what he has done with the verse we are going to start with this morning!!

Psalms 65:11

You crown the year with Your goodness, And Your Paths drip with abundance.

If I am going to be under a drip, I want God’s Abundance dripping on me!If I am going to be under a drip, I want it to be God's abundance dripping on me!

I was blessed this week to have a word spoken over me and one of the things God said through a man of God, that this would be the best year ever in my life. I received it immediately!!!! Then the Lord confirmed it in His word with the previous verse above. He is crowning this year with goodness!!! Believe me if God crowns something, it is crowned!!! Kings and Queens are crowned, set apart as rulers….  He has crowned this year, given this year the authority and power to be FILLED with his Goodness! I am so excited about this, because I actually believe it! I believe what God says will come to pass, no matter what the cirucmstances look like!!!! How are you looking at this year?? I encourage you to receive this word with me.. this is the best year of your life, he has crowned this year with His Goodness! Wow, I would think, that would be enough to meditate on, but look at the second part of that verse!! And Your Paths drip with Abundance!

I have done a few teachings on my blogs on paths….and it has been one of the most popular subjects that people search out.

One of my most favorite passages is in Proverbs 3:5

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths!

Do you know why he wants you to trust him? Do you know why he wants you to not lean on your own understanding, do you know why he wants you to acknowledge Him in ALL your ways…………. Because he wants to DIRECT YOUR PATHS…………because HIS PATHS for you DRIP WITH ABUNDANCE!!!

Wow, I pray you can get a picture of this in your spirit and HOLD fast onto it!!

I see 2 paths in front of me……… One is barren and dry and really out in the wilderness…. the other one is dripping with abundance… It is plush and green and has fruit growing all around it…(thats a whole other teaching….Fruit comes when you are on God’s path)
