Coming In and Going Out! January 23, 2010

Good Morning All,

I have spent two days on this blog and just added the final scripture and LOST it all………….. my heart sank as I knew this was a word from the Lord!!

I am going to take the time to redo this, because I know that it is a Word that needs to be heard!!

Lets begin in Deuteronomy 28

Deuteronomy 28

1IF YOU will listen diligently to the voice of the Lord your God, being watchful to do all His commandments which I command you this day, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth.

This chapter begins with IF… You have a choice here…If you want to walk in the blessings laid out in this chapter you MUST first do what he says: You MUST listen DILIGENTLY to the voice of your Lord God.. There are many voices speaking now days, who are you DILIGENTLY listening to? But it doesn’t stop with listening, you MUST do what you are hearing to do!!

There are many blessing listed in the coming verses, but we will be focusing on vs 6 today.

2And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you if you heed the voice of the Lord your God.

3Blessed shall you be in the city and blessed shall you be in the field.

4Blessed shall be the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beasts, the increase of your cattle and the young of your flock.

5Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading trough.

6Blessed shall you be when you come in and blessed shall you be when you go out.

Pastor Rick and I started discussing Coming in and Going out.. This verse says that as we are diligently listening and doing God’s word we will be BLESSED when we come in and when we go out. I always just thought of this as being blessed wherever I was, but never thought of the specifics of where to come in and where to go out….

Where are we to come in???

Passage 2 Peter 3:9:
9The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The FIRST place we need to come is REPENTANCE!! Our God is not willing that any should perish, but that all come to repentance. He love us all and desires us to come to him with repentance hearts. This could be for the non believer who for the first time repents and asks Christ to be their Lord and Savior or it can be for those who have relationship with Christ and we blow it and fall into sin, we too need to be willing to come back to repentance.

Passage John 6:44:

44No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

We saw in the previous verse that God is not willing for any to perish and then in the above verse it says that no man can come except the Father draw Him…so I believe God draws all men to himself, but not all of us are willing to be drawn… Lets look at it in a natural example… Parents and children are all children willing to obey their parents…. the parents want the best for them, but they rebel and make their own choices. We took have our own choices with God, we can allow Him to draw us closer to Him or we can rebel and stay on the outside….

Passage Matthew 11:28:

28Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

God wants us to come to HIM!! If we are tired and frustrated and heavy hearted we need to RUN to the Lord, for the rest that only he can give. So many times we try to find that peace or rest other ways or other places, but when we come unto Him, he will give us rest… Remember he blesses our coming in… Deut 28  How do we come to the Lord???? Lets look at another scripture:

Psalm 100

1Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands.

2Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing.

Where does God want us to come? Into His presence…. How do we come?? with singing! God created us for fellowship with Him. Singing and Worshiping the Lord brings us into His presence.

3Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.

Here it also tells us that we enter in his gates and his courts with THANKSGIVING AND PRAISE!! These are key scriptures in COMING into the presence of God Almighty! Theres another verse that just came to my mind… In HIS PRESENCE is Fullness of joy… It is a GOOD place to come into!!

When we have quiet and personal time with the Lord, we can enter into this presence, but also this is one of the reasons he tells us not to forsake the coming together with other believers, because as a church body, you can come into his presence together and be encouraged, strenthened and equiped for the next part of the verse in Deut.  We are blessed coming in and blessed GOING OUT… Where are we to go??? And what are we to do when we get there??? I want to take you to the LAST words Jesus said to his disciples before he ascended up in heaven after the resurrection. I know if I had the chance to say last words to someone that I knew I would not see again on this earth, I would make sure they were important words…. I believe these are important words for us to look at!

  • Passage Mark 16:15-20:
15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
  • Go into all the world… All means all… There is not one place that is excluded from Gods perfect plan…What are we to do Preach the gospel to EVERY creature!! This shows that our God is not partial to anyone!! He wants all to hear the GOOD NEWS of Jesus and want us to go!!

  •  16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.   17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;   18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.   19So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.   20And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen
  • The disciples listened and obeyed and God worked with them!!!! We are at the place in our lives where we have the choice to listen and obey as they did and he will work with us also confirming the word with signs following.
  •  Luke 14: 23And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.

Lets finish us with this parable….. You can read all of Luke 14 at a later date, I believe just as this master in this parable told his servant to GO OUT and compel them to come in… God is telling us through this word today that as we Come into His presence and get filled up with Joy, Peace and Rest, he equips us to GO OUT and share the Love of Jesus and that Love will draw them and compell them to come into that same Repentance and Presence of the Living God that we are able to come in to!

I know the word promises that we will be blessed as we come in and as we go out and I pray this day that you have a new revelation of where you are coming and going….too many people don’t know if they are coming or going, but through the WORD of God we can know exactly where we are coming and going!

God bless you and keep you,

    Pastor Carol Mora

    Hi there!

I want to share with you all God is doing in Zephyrhills, FL. God desires to use us to get the “good news” out to all people!! He desires us to allow him to flow through us, to love through us, to touch and change peoples lives for His Glory!

We have had something so exciting happen during this first couple of weeks of 2010! During our New Years Eve Service, Pastor Rick preached on the Open Door! Well, we have seen God begin to Open the Door! We didn’t even know the door was there!!

It all began with us wanting to be a blessing to others! We found out there was a ministry close by our church that feeds the homeless in a park twice a week. We decided we wanted to be a part and went down one afternoon and helped serve the food. We went back the next week to do the same, and we were blessed to be asked if our church would host one of the free dinners once a week! Our heart is to minister to those who God brings our way and He has Opened this Door and is beginning to bring people our way! We are so blessed to be used by God to LOVE all!!!

We are seeing Isaiah 58:7 in action!

    Feeding Those in Need"

Praise God for all He is doing!!! We will be reaching out and feeding the Hungry every Wednesday at 4pm, feel from to come and join us at anytime. Be a part of what God is doing!!

    God Bless You,

    Pastors Carol and Rick Mora

Mark 4 Key of All Parables January 14, 2010

    Good Morning All,

I believe God has led me to Mark 4 for a reason this morning. There is alot here to study, mediate on and ponder. I don’t know how far I will get on this teaching, but lets go to the Word and get started!! I am using the amplified bible this morning.

    Mark 4

1AGAIN JESUS began to teach beside the lake. And a very great crowd gathered about Him, so that He got into a ship in order to sit in it on the sea, and the whole crowd was at the lakeside on the shore.

Anything that Jesus taught during the 3 years he walked in the fullness of His ministry on this earth, should be very precious to us. Just think if you were given 1 year to live, you would not waste in on things that did not matter, you would do and say those things that were precious and important to you. I believe Jesus everything Jesus did and said during those 3 years should be a Great example for us to follow!!

2And He taught them many things in parables (illustrations or comparisons put beside truths to explain them), and in His teaching He said to them:

He taught in parables…..a parable is an illustration or comparison….it is a story that makes you think about it…..God wants us to meditate on his word…He wants us to study to get more out of it than just the surface meaning……theres deep truths hidden for those who will take the time to search it out!! Will you take the time??? I tell you, everyday we have a choice what we spend our time doing….Even this morning, I have alot of things calling my name to do…BUT I know that I need the WORD in me more than anything else…. Its called priorities and balance!!! He starts out this parable, Give attention to this!!In other words listen to me, this is important!!!!

He begins the parable of the sower, which we will go through verse by verse, but before we do this I want to go ahead a few verses and show you the importance of this parable!! You may have studied this parable before as I have, you may have heard it preached many times before, as I have, but I believe God has fresh revelation for us and wants us to look at this once again!

9And He said, He who has ears to hear, let him be hearing [and let him consider, and comprehend].

13And He said to them, Do you not discern and understand this parable? How then is it possible for you to discern and understand all the parables?

Here Jesus shows us the importance of understanding this particular parable, this particular part of the word of God. He tells us if you cannot understand this one how will you ever understand the other parts of my word. This is telling us that this particular part of the scripture is a KEY ELEMENT to understanding the rest of the Word of God!!

3Give attention to this! Behold, a sower went out to sow.

You may want to go ahead read Mark 4 and meditate on it and I will begin teaching on each individual scripture on my next blog. Today I just wanted to show you the importance of this particular scripture and create a hunger in all of us for more understanding and revelation in this area! I look forward to all the Holy Spirit will reveal to us and in us as we give him time and place in our lives. God Bless you and I will be back soon with more word!!

    In His Love Pastor Carol

The Light Shines in the Darkness

    Good Morning Everyone,

We had an awesome experience last night and I wanted to share it with you.
Yesterday afternoon we were able to join hands with a ministry that feeds the hungry twice a week in Zephryhills, just down the street from our church. It was wonderful and we plan to continue to join with them in their minitstry.
When we left there, we had a little time before our church service started so we ran and got coffee and hot chocolate as it was COLD outside. (If you are not in Fl., we have experienced some COLD weather this week.)
As we got to the church building, we saw the lights on in the building next to ours, so we didn’t think any was strange, until we flipped the light switch and NO POWER in the building!! We opened our cell phones to get enough light to walk around the building to check the breaker box, etc.
We had a choice…. We found some candles and some matches and lots of joy in our hearts and proceeded to have one of the best services ever!!
The power was out at the church, but God’s power WAS NOT OUT!!
We had candles and had service and 2 young people gave their hearts to JESUS!!
The light shone brightly even without the electric!!

This is a great example of not allowing the circumstances direct your steps!! We could have cancelled the service due to circumstances, no lights and no heat on a cold night, BUT GOD!!! We sang and worshiped without music, without words, the message was taught by candlelight and TWO lives were forever changed by accepting Christ as their Savior!!
To tell you the truth, my life was changed too!! The Lord showed me how he blesses us when go forth with JOY and PEACE, no matter what it looks like!! HE is in control!!!
    God Bless You
Let Your Light Shine in the Darkness!!

New Year, What choices are you making? January 3, 2010

    Good Morning Everyone

Wow, its the beginning of a brand new year and already decisions are bringing changes into our lives. Some changes are easy, some are hard, but they all started with a DECISION!!  This will be my 100th blog and I felt I wanted to republish one of the most read blogs that I’ve done and one that seems so revelant to our lives right now as we begin this New Year of 2010.

I have a friend who used to tell me all the time change is good! I would cringe…I liked things the way they were…but we are constantly be changed into His image, if we are seeking and following Christ, so change will come!! God is so gracious and leaves the decision for us to make. Below is the teaching I did in September on “One decision can change your life”. Lets look at this again as we are starting the new year and see how our choices are affecting our future this year and the future of those in our lives….

I love you and I pray that you are blessed through His Word.

    Pastor Carol

Decisions, we make them constantly, everyday of our life is made up of decisions we make. We decide what time to get up each morning, what we are going to eat, what we are going to wear and on and on and on…………

    image013

Which decisions are life changing decisions and do we even know it at the time we make it?? Is there a way that we can be sure that we make the RIGHT decisions at the RIGHT time??

One of the First and most important decisions we make in this life is who are we going to live for?? Are we living for ourselves, for this world or for the Lord our God? Your relationship with God is the most important decision you will make. Some people think it is a one time decision… That you ask Christ in your heart and that is all you have to do for the Lord your God. I believe that is only the beginning!! Every day we have a choice who we are serving that day!!

  • Joshua 24:15
And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
  •

  • Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live
  • God has given us free will, he has set before us life and death, and has given us the choice. He has even told us whcih choice is better and the benifits of the better choice. We have the choice to accept Christ as our Savior and watch our life be forever changed and then we have choices everyday that will cause major changes to our lives. Even as I write this, this morning I am shown how even the words of our mouths affect the environment around us… We have a choice of the words we speak and the attitudes that we have and it does affect the environment and the people around us……..We are not an island to ourselves and our actions affect others. God uses us and others to bring us into the perfect plan and purpose for our lives. I have a great example of this. Exactly one year ago tomorrow, a person asked me to go out for a cup of coffee after church. God used this person to put me in a place where he wanted me for a specific plan and purpose. When I agreed to this spur of the moment meeting, I had no idea that my life would be changed forever!
  • John 5:30
I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord–but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.

Even our Lord and Savior Jesus, had a decision to make. He made the decision to only do what He Father wanted Him to do. To do only those things pleasing to the Father.

    Luke 22:42 (Whole Chapter)
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.

Even when it came to laying down his life, Jesus had already made the decision that it had to be the Fathers’ will. He did not want to do anything out of the Father’s will………… He knew LIFE was in the Fathers will no matter what the natural looked like. He trusted his Father more than the natural realm he was living in.

  • Isaiah 11:3 (Whole Chapter)
    And shall make Him of quick understanding, and His delight shall be in the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of His ears;
  •
  • John 7:24 (Whole Chapter)
Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.
  • I love these two verses, cause I know how important they have been in my life. Every decision we make must be with the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is those quick, off the cuff decisions that can get us into trouble. That is why the word says to wait upon the Lord… We must  keep our spiritual eyes and ears open and not be lead by our natural senses.

    Psalm 25:12 (Whole Chapter)
Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

When you are reverencing the Lord and giving him the rightful place in your life, HE will help you with ALL the decisions you have to make daily. We are lead by the Holy Spirit who lives in us. God wants to perfect our heart and our attitude and he does it through the Holy Spirit within. He may even uses those foolish things of the world to teach us. For example, his word has told us to prefer one another. There are many ways God can teach you to do this. You may feel a tug on your heart when you see that the roll of toilet paper in the bathroom is almost gone. Are you thinking about the next person to come in the bathroom and wanting to make sure they are taken care of, or is your thought someone else will do it…

That is only one example of many that we face daily…. Do you walk by things in your house, thinking someone else will take it to the kitchen or throw it away… God may be trying to teach you to think of others by your actions and you have a choice right then and there to listen to him or not…

  • Job 34:4 (Whole Chapter)
Let us choose for ourselves that which is right; let us know among ourselves what is good.
  • God is always talking to us and showing us what is right to do in every situation, the question is Are we listening? and if not, why not?? If we are not listening to those promptings of the Holy Spirit, are heart needs to be changed. For out of the heart flows the issues of life.

Lets DECIDE today to allow God to come into our heart and take out anything that is not pleasing to him. Any selfishness, greed, envy, lust that would cause us to make wrong decisions, Let God come in and clean our hearts with the precious blood of Jesus…

You never know when that one decision you make to be kind to someone, or to give a word in season, will change your life or the life of someone lese FOREVER!!! Our actions and decisions not only affect our own lives, but they have a profound effect on those around us!! Think of the life of Billy Graham and the decisions and actions he made and how they have affected the multitude. Think of Jesus himself and how His Love and actions have affected the world we live in.

How are your decisions affecting your future and the future of those around you? Are they bringing Glory and Praise to God??

    God Bless You,

    Happy New Year

    Pastor Carol Mora
