Persistence in the Faith September 28, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 7:56 am

Good Morning,

It is another wonderful Sunday!!  Some people make look forward to Sundays for the football games, or just a family day of rest, but I am so excited to get to go and be with my brothers and sisters in Christ and worship our Savior and speak and learn of Him!!!

This morning the Lord took me to Luke 18

The heading of this section in my bible is :

“The Parable of the Persistent Widow”

Luke 18

1ALSO [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to [a]turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up).

2He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected or considered man.

3And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary.

4And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence or fear for God nor respect or consideration for man,

5Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me [b]intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or [c]at the last she come and rail on me or [d]assault me or [e]strangle me.

6Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says!

7And will not [our just] God defend and protect and avenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He [f]defer them and [g]delay help on their behalf?

8I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [[h]persistence in] faith on the earth?

When I think of the word Persistence, I picture a young child that wants something….they will go on and on and on…. till they get an answer… I can hear please daddy I really need this, please daddy…….

However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth?

If Jesus returned today what would he find you doing? Are you walking in persistence faith , no matter what circumstances you are going through?

Without faith it is impossible to please God, that is why Satan comes in to bring things into our life to rock our faith. Strengthened your faith….. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God!

Be strong in the Lord and in the Power of His Might!!

God Bless you and Keep You!!

Pastor Carol

I am the Lord that Heals You September 27, 2009

  • Good Morning All,
  • It seems like lately to me, so many people are battling with sickness and disease in their lives or in the life of a loved one. There are so many scriptures that deal with healing, so I may just barely touch the surface this morning, but my prayer is that the WORD of Healing would come alive in you and all sickness and disease will have to GO!!

We are going to start in the old testament and show God’s desire to heal even before Christ came and purchased healing on the cross for us.

  • Passage Exodus 15:26:
26And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
  • Here God is telling the people if the listen to him and do his commandments, they will be free from diseases , for He is their Healer

  • Malachi 3:6 (Whole Chapter)
For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed
  •

Here we are told that The Lord changes not, so if he was the Lord that Heals, He still is the Lord that Heals.

In the old testament we see a couple of different ways God chose to heal:

    Psalm 30:2 (Whole Chapter)
O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

    Jeremiah 17:14 (Whole Chapter)
Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

Here we see that God heard the cry of his people and healed them.

Next we will see that God used people to pray for the healing of others and brought healing that way.

  • Genesis 20:17 (Whole Chapter)
So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
  •
  • 2 Chronicles 30:20 (Whole Chapter)
And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
  • Then we begin to see a change, as the old testament starts to point to Jesus as our healer, as one who will purchase healing once and for all on the cross of Calvary.

    Isaiah 53:5 (Whole Chapter)
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

  • Psalm 107:20 (Whole Chapter)
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
  • John 1:1 (Whole Chapter)
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
  • 14And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
  • You can see by those previous verses that God sent his son Jesus to bring healing, He sent the Living Word in the flesh to dwell among us to bring healing and then to take the stripes on calvary, so that the healing will continue even as he goes back to his Father in Heaven.

While Christ was here on the earth, you see many instances of his heart to heal all! That heart has never changed!! Did he always bring forth the healing in the same way, no. Are there conditions to be healed? Lets look a little further…

  • Matthew 4:24 (Whole Chapter)
And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.
  • Matthew 8:8 (Whole Chapter)
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
  • Matthew 8:13 (Whole Chapter)
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
  • Matthew 8:16 (Whole Chapter)
When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
  • So here we see the importance of the SPOKEN WORD and FAITH!! The centurion believed for the healing of his servant and believe that all Jesus had to do was speak the WORD and it would be done and it was!! Jesus spoke to the spirits and to the sickness and disease and it had to leave.

Here are just a few more verses that shows how Jesus went forth and healed them all

  • Matthew 12:15 (Whole Chapter)
    But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
  • Matthew 12:22 (Whole Chapter)
Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
  • Matthew 14:14 (Whole Chapter)
And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
  • Matthew 15:30 (Whole Chapter)
And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus’ feet; and he healed them:
  • Matthew 19:2 (Whole Chapter)
And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there.
  • Matthew 21:14 (Whole Chapter)
And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.
  • Mark 1:34 (Whole Chapter)
And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
  • Mark 3:10 (Whole Chapter)
For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him for to touch him, as many as had plagues.
  •

  • Mark 5:22-43
22And, behold, there cometh one of the rulers of the synagogue, Jairus by name; and when he saw him, he fell at his feet,   23And besought him greatly, saying, My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.
24And Jesus went with him; and much people followed him, and thronged him.   25And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years,

26And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse,

27When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment.

28For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

  • This is such a cool example of putting your faith into action. She could have been stoned for going out among people, for touching anyone for she was unclean. But she believed in her heart that if she could just touch His clothes she would be totally healed and that is exactly what she got!! She spoke it out of her mouth!! That is one of the keys… What are we speaking out of our mouth? Are we speaking the symptons, the pain, the Dr prognosis or are we speaking FAITH!!   29And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.

30And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes?

31And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?

32And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing.

33But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth.

34And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

  • Jesus told her here, It was your FAITH that made you whole. It is the same with us today. Our faith or the lack of it, is a determining factor of our health!
  • Now we go back to Jairus, remember that he had great faith and he had spoken “My little daughter lieth at the point of death: I pray thee, come and lay thy hands on her, that she may be healed; and she shall live.” then the circumstance with the woman with the issue of blood had come in and time had passed and then news from home came….. When news comes our way that is contrary to the Word of God , we have a choice how to respond………..   35While he yet spake, there came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house certain which said, Thy daughter is dead: why troublest thou the Master any further?
  • Here Jairus got the worse news possible and it could have really squashed his faith, but look how Jesus responded to him right away!!   36As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe.
  • These words need to be cemented in our heart through the storms of life. We need to hook onto our Faith in the Word of God and not let anything or anyone shake us from that Faith!! Be not afraid, only Believe.   37And he suffered no man to follow him, save Peter, and James, and John the brother of James.

38And he cometh to the house of the ruler of the synagogue, and seeth the tumult, and them that wept and wailed greatly.

39And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth.

40And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.

  • Just as they laughed Jesus to scorn, there are people in your life that will not have the same faith and belief that you have, they will laugh at you to scorn, they will not agree with your actions or reactions, but look what Christ did to these people…But when he had put them all out. He took those who did not believe out of the room. We need to surround ourselves with like minded people in those times, people that will agree in prayer with us and will encourage us in the Lord.   41And he took the damsel by the hand, and said unto her, Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise.

42And straightway the damsel arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

  • Jairus received his daughter back from the dead, because He had faith and did not allow fear to come in and take over his faith!!   43And he charged them straitly that no man should know it; and commanded that something should be given her to eat.
  • Now we travel into the period of time after Christ died on the cross for us. Did healing die when Jesus left the earth. Absolutley NOT!

    Isaiah 53:5 (Whole Chapter)
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

This scripture was fulfilled. And then we begin to see the disciples and others walking out the same healing annointing that Christ walked in. The healing annointing was purchased by His stripes and is available for all of us to walk in, both to receive healing and to impart healing to others.

  • Acts 3:11 (Whole Chapter)
And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon’s, greatly wondering.
    Passage Acts 5:15:
15Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.
11And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:   12So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
  • Acts 5:16 (Whole Chapter)
There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits: and they were healed every one.
  • Acts 8:7 (Whole Chapter)
For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.
  • Acts 14:9 (Whole Chapter)
The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
  • Acts 28:8 (Whole Chapter)
And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and laid his hands on him, and healed him.
  • So as we see God used the disciples in a mighty to bring healing to the people after Jesus left the earth. Did this end when the disciples were gone? No it did not.In the following scriptures the Lord show us that healing is still available and how to walk in it for ourselves and how it is imparted to others through us!!
  • James 5
  • 13Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
  • 14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
  •    15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.   16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
  • Passage Mark 16:17-18:
       17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
  • As Christians we should be walking in the full authority that Christ purchased on Calvary for us to walk in. We have the authority over sickness and disease on our own body and on others. We can pray in faith and see healing come, we can lay hands on the sick and see them recover. Jesus left us with the command in Matthew 10
  • Matthew 10:8-12:
8Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
  • The bible says we can do the things Christ did and even greater things because he went to the Father. He will get all the Glory Honor and Praise.
  • God Bless you my friends,

Bring God your First!! September 18, 2009

    Good Morning All,

Last night we did and awesome teaching at church and I just wanted to share with you a quick thought this morning, before I am off to work!

    prophetic-firstfruits

God wants the FIRST, not the leftovers, not when you get around to doing it, He wants to be on top of your priority list!!

    Genesis 4

1And Adam knew Eve his wife; and she conceived, and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from the LORD.

2And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground.

3And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

Here it tells us that in the process of time, (when he got around to it), Cain brought an offering to the Lord.

4And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

In contrast, Abel brought the FIRST to the Lord! It was a priority for him to give God the FIRST and the BEST. The Lord had respect for Abels offering and accepted it with the heart that gave it correctly.

Today, lets examine our lives and reset our priorities to make sure we are giving God our FIRST and our BEST in all we do!!

5But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.

Sometimes we can do things, but our heart isn’t really into it, it is not a high priority. We want our heart to be right in all we do.

6And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?

7If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.

We need to examine our hearts and our actions and make sure we are giving God the honor that is due to Him. That He is kept First and Formost in our lives, for when we put him aside, sin crouches at the door and we become accessible to Satan and what he wants to bring into our lives. Lets make sure that door is slammed shut today and that God is FIRST and foremost in every action of our lives.

    God Bless you!

One Decision can change your life! September 13, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 9:25 am

    Good Morning Everyone!!

Decisions, we make them constantly, everyday of our life is made up of decisions we make. We decide what time to get up each morning, what we are going to eat, what we are going to wear and on and on and on…………

    image013

Which decisions are life changing decisions and do we even know it at the time we make it?? Is there a way that we can be sure that we make the RIGHT decisions at the RIGHT time??

One of the First and most important decisions we make in this life is who are we going to live for?? Are we living for ourselves, for this world or for the Lord our God? Your relationship with God is the most important decision you will make. Some people think it is a one time decision… That you ask Christ in your heart and that is all you have to do for the Lord your God. I believe that is only the beginning!! Every day we have a choice who we are serving that day!!

  • Joshua 24:15
And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

  •

  • Deuteronomy 30:19
I call heaven and earth to witness this day against you that I have set before you life and death, the blessings and the curses; therefore choose life, that you and your descendants may live
  • God has given us free will, he has set before us life and death, and has given us the choice. He has even told us whcih choice is better and the benifits of the better choice. We have the choice to accept Christ as our Savior and watch our life be forever changed and then we have choices everyday that will cause major changes to our lives. Even as I write this, this morning I am shown how even the words of our mouths affect the environment around us… We have a choice of the words we speak and the attitudes that we have and it does affect the environment and the people around us……..We are not an island to ourselves and our actions affect others. God uses us and others to bring us into the perfect plan and purpose for our lives. I have a great example of this. Exactly one year ago tomorrow, a person asked me to go out for a cup of coffee after church. God used this person to put me in a place where he wanted me for a specific plan and purpose. When I agreed to this spur of the moment meeting, I had no idea that my life would be changed forever!
  • John 5:30
I am able to do nothing from Myself [independently, of My own accord–but only as I am taught by God and as I get His orders]. Even as I hear, I judge [I decide as I am bidden to decide. As the voice comes to Me, so I give a decision], and My judgment is right (just, righteous), because I do not seek or consult My own will [I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.
Even our Lord and Savior Jesus, had a decision to make. He made the decision to only do what He Father wanted Him to do. To do only those things pleasing to the Father. Luke 22:42 (Whole Chapter)
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Even when it came to laying down his life, Jesus had already made the decision that it had to be the Fathers’ will. He did not want to do anything out of the Father’s will………… He knew LIFE was in the Fathers will no matter what the natural looked like. He trusted his Father more than the natural realm he was living in.

  • Isaiah 11:3 (Whole Chapter)
    And shall make Him of quick understanding, and His delight shall be in the reverential and obedient fear of the Lord. And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, neither decide by the hearing of His ears;
  •
  • John 7:24 (Whole Chapter)
Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.
  • I love these two verses, cause I know how important they have been in my life. Every decision we make must be with the leading of the Holy Spirit. It is those quick, off the cuff decisions that can get us into trouble. That is why the word says to wait upon the Lord… We must  keep our spiritual eyes and ears open and not be lead by our natural senses.

    Psalm 25:12 (Whole Chapter)
Who is the man who reverently fears and worships the Lord? Him shall He teach in the way that he should choose.

When you are reverencing the Lord and giving him the rightful place in your life, HE will help you with ALL the decisions you have to make daily. We are lead by the Holy Spirit who lives in us. God wants to perfect our heart and our attitude and he does it through the Holy Spirit within. He may even uses those foolish things of the world to teach us. For example, his word has told us to prefer one another. There are many ways God can teach you to do this. You may feel a tug on your heart when you see that the roll of toilet paper in the bathroom is almost gone. Are you thinking about the next person to come in the bathroom and wanting to make sure they are taken care of, or is your thought someone else will do it…

That is only one example of many that we face daily…. Do you walk by things in your house, thinking someone else will take it to the kitchen or throw it away… God may be trying to teach you to think of others by your actions and you have a choice right then and there to listen to him or not…

  • Job 34:4 (Whole Chapter)
Let us choose for ourselves that which is right; let us know among ourselves what is good.
  • God is always talking to us and showing us what is right to do in every situation, the question is Are we listening? and if not, why not?? If we are not listening to those promptings of the Holy Spirit, are heart needs to be changed. For out of the heart flows the issues of life.

Lets DECIDE today to allow God to come into our heart and take out anything that is not pleasing to him. Any selfishness, greed, envy, lust that would cause us to make wrong decisions, Let God come in and clean our hearts with the precious blood of Jesus…

You never know when that one decision you make to be kind to someone, or to give a word in season, will change your life or the life of someone lese FOREVER!!! Our actions and decisions not only affect our own lives, but they have a profound effect on those around us!! Think of the life of Billy Graham and the decisions and actions he made and how they have affected the multitude. Think of Jesus himself and how His Love and actions have affected the world we live in.

How are your decisions affecting your future and the future of those around you? Are they bringing Glory and Praise to God??

    In His Love,

    Pastor Carol Mora

    God Restores! September 10, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 8:01 am

    Good Morning my friends!

I am so thankful for God’s love and mercy this morning. It has been an awesome week and I give Him all the praise.

    friends

Many times in our lives things happen that we just don’t understand. This has happened to me too! As I have been studying and teaching lately on the body of Christ and how we are ONE BODY with many members, I have seen once again how it is Satans desire to come in and cause division between these different parts of the Body of Christ!!!

This is NOT our Father’s heart!! I tell you this morning if there is a brother or sister in Christ that you are separated from or at odds with, ask the Father to bring restoration and He WILL!! It is His desire for us to be of one mind and one heart in Christ Jesus!!

    Joel 2:25 (Whole Chapter)
And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you

God is a God of RESTORATION!!

I was so blessed this week to be restored with a dear friend of mine that I had been separated from for the last two years. It had been a long time and things had come in and wanted to keep us apart, BUT GOD! He is so faithful and has reunited us for such a time as this!! The Body of Christ needs to work together more than ever in this season of time!! Don’t allow anything or anyone to come between you and your brothers and sisters in Christ!!! It is when brethen dwell together in unity, that we are in the place of the commanded blessing.

God uses friends in our lives for a purpose as you can see in these scriptures:

  • Proverbs 27:9 (Whole Chapter)
The heartfelt counsel of a friendis as sweet as perfume and incense.

  • Proverbs 27:10 (Whole Chapter)
Never abandon a friend—either yours or your father’s.When disaster strikes, you won’t have to ask your brother for assistance. It’s better to go to a neighbor than to a brother who lives far away.

  • Proverbs 27:17 (Whole Chapter)
As iron sharpens iron,so a friend sharpens a friend.
  • God Bless You my Friends,

    Pastor Carol Mora

Thank you Lord for what you have done!!

What Body Part Are You? September 6, 2009

    Hello There,

I have been meditating 1 Cor 12 & 13. There is so much in these two chapters, but lets take off and see how the Holy Spirit leads….

    spiritualgifts

In Chapter 12 we begin to see that as Christians we have the gift of the Holy Spirit in us.

3Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking under the power and influence of the [Holy] Spirit of God can [ever] say, Jesus be cursed! And no one can [really] say, Jesus is [my] Lord, except by and under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit.

Once you have made Jesus Christ your savior, by repenting of your sins and asking Him to be the Lord of your life, You become part of the BODY OF CHRIST and you have a specific function in the BODY OF CHRIST!!

Today we are going to look into some of those functions of the different parts of the Body of Christ and believing that God is going to quicken His Word to you and give you a better revelation of your gifts and callings, and His plan for your life.

I did a teaching last week on the BODY OF CHRIST and how we need each other and that love is the joint in the BODY OF CHRIST, that allows us to work together as different churches, but with one purpose, the Kingdom of God. If you have not heard this teaching you can look it up on our website, under Pastor Carol’s blogs, “What or Whom are you connected to?”

Lets go to 1 Cor 12:1

    1 Corinthians 12

1Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

God does not want you IGNORANT!!!! Some christians today are wandering around with NO CLUE of the power of God and the giftings and callings that God has placed on the inside of their life… If we don’t know who we are or what we have we will not use it!! If you had a million dollars in the bank under your name, but did not know it, it would do you NO GOOD!!!

We can not be ignorant of the spiritual gifts and callings that God has placed in each of us! We need to find out what they are and begin to WALK in the fullness of them to accomplish all God has for us to accomplish.

2Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

You WERE Gentiles…. this is a PAST statement!! Once you have ask Christ into your heart the past is GONE!!!!! Satan wants us to stay in the past and not accomplish anything for the Kingdom of God…

3Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.

4Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

As a child of God you were given the Holy Spirit to live in you. We each have the SAME Holy Spirit….This Holy Spirit was given to every believer for good, for profit. It is the Holy Spirit that equips us and is the Power of God in us to allow us to walk in the giftings He has for us…..

       8For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

       9To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

These are a few of the Spiritual Gifts that the Holy Spirit has given to the children of God… I believe thes gifts are real and still in operation today and we need to be open to walk in the gifts and the callings that God has put on our lives… We each have a place and a function in the BODY OF CHRIST and it is OUR responsibilty to be doing what we are called to do.. If your eyes stopped working, your life would change dramatically. It would have a great effect on how you function. Likewise if you as a member of the BODY OF CHRIST, are not functioning in your calling the BODY OF CHRIST , will not function 100% as it should.

27Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body and [individually] you are members of it, each part severally and distinct [each with his own place and function].

28So God has appointed some in the church [[f]for His own use]: first apostles (special messengers); second prophets (inspired preachers and expounders); third teachers; then wonder-workers; then those with ability to heal the sick; helpers; administrators; [speakers in] different (unknown) tongues.

29Are all apostles (special messengers)? Are all prophets (inspired interpreters of the will and purposes of God)? Are all teachers? Do all have the power of performing miracles?

30Do all possess extraordinary powers of healing? Do all speak with tongues? Do all interpret?

31But earnestly desire and zealously cultivate the greatest and best gifts and graces (the higher gifts and the choicest graces). And yet I will show you a still more excellent way [one that is better by far and the highest of them all–love].

I love these verses….. There are giftings, callings for each of us…. you need to seek God and find out what BODY part you are. What has the Holy Spirit equipped you to do in the BODY OF CHRIST!! Each one of us has a function and it is time for us to walk in it together and walk victorious as ONE BODY with many members…

    Father God,

I thank you for your word this morning! I thank you that you have giftings and callings for each of your children in the BODY OF CHRIST. I thank you that you do not want us to be ignorant, but you want us to know what they are and to walk in the fulness of these gifts and callings of our lives. We come to you this morning and we ask you for a new revelation of YOUR plan and purpose for our lives. We yield to you Holy Spirit, to work in our lives and to use us to be a vessell fit for the Master’s use. We love you Lord.

    In Jesus name, Amen

    God Bless you,

    Pastor Carol Mora
