What a Great morning it is!! Welcome to todays fresh revelation of the word of God!!

BODY-1

We as believers are the BODY OF CHRIST

I woke up this morning with this phrase in my thoughts…

A light bulb is no good without a socket to put it in!!!!!

Wow, that goes right along with what the Lord has been speaking to me about needing Him and needing each other in the body of Christ. So much is flooding through my thoughts now…………… I was thinking about the word socket. The limbs of our body are connected by sockets!! Without those sockets, you wouldn’t be able to move your body parts!!!

Before going more indepth to this teaching on being connected in the body of christ, I believe I need to go to the word to make sure you are a part of the body of Christ…that you are connected with Christ himself first and formost.

John 15:5

“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.

In this scripture the Lord is telling us the importance of abiding in Him and He is us!! The first and foremost connection you need to have is the connection with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. In this verse it tells us without this connection your life with amount to NOTHING!! Each one of us has a purpose for our life and the only way to walk in that purpose and (bear the fruit) get the results from our lives that God planned for us to get, is to be connected with Christ!!!

When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord, you are saved.  This is the MAJOR connection we must have in our lives. If you don’t have this connection you will not understand the importance of the other connections in your life as a part or member of the BODY of CHRIST. If you have not made this life changing decision, I ask that you consider it today, as your life will take on a whole new meaning and purpose as you give your life to Jesus Christ! Feel free to contact me at anytime if you want further information on this life changing decision…

Once you are a part of the body of Christ, that you have him as your Lord and Savior and he has YOU, there are other connections he wants you to have.

Lets go back to John 15

This is a wonderful chapter for you to read and meditate on.

1st, the Lord tells us to abide in Him, the allow Him to abide in us, then in vs 9 he tells us something else to abide in…

9I have loved you, [just] as the Father has loved Me; abide in My love .

10If you keep My commandments [if you continue to obey My instructions], you will abide in My love and live on in it, just as I have obeyed My Father’s commandments and live on in His love.

11I have told you these things, that My joy and delight may be in you, and that your joy and gladness may be of full measure and complete and overflowing.

12This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.

Because of God’s love for us , he sent his son Jesus to die for us! You can see this in John 3:16. Now in this verse above the Lord is asking us to walk in that same love!!! I believe in my heart that is is that Love that connects us to people. Wow, I’m seeing that it is actually HIS LOVE that is the socket where we need to be plugged in, it is the sockets that connects the members of the body of Christ together…. Lets go over to I Cor 12

12For just as the body is a unity and yet has many parts, and all the parts, though many, form one body, so it is with Christ .

13For by one [Holy] Spirit we were all, whether Jews or Greeks, slaves or free, baptized into one body, and all made to drink of one [Holy] Spirit.

14For the body does not consist of one limb or organ but of many.

We as believers and even as churches or bodies of believers are the limbs and organs of the ONE BODY OF CHRIST. I believe this is so important for us to realize especially in these days that we are living in….

Lets look at this from a perspective where each Christ believing-church body is a limb or organ of the BODY of Christ… Each with a specific function and purpose of the body…. Just as the liver does not do the same function as the heart does, but they are both vitally neccessary for the life of the body.

So too, is it important for each group of believers to be doing what God has called them to do… We need to know our purpose as individual churches, but also know the importance of our other body parts in the BODY OF CHRIST.

Read the following verses with an open heart and open mind to allow the Spirit to speak to you. I believe that we are in the hour that the BODY OF CHRIST needs to realize we are one body and we need each other. We cannot do the work that is in front of us to do, if we are competing with each other as local churches, instead of complementing and completing each other as local churches……

15If the foot should say, Because I am not the hand, I do not belong to the body, would it be therefore not [a part] of the body?

16If the ear should say, Because I am not the eye, I do not belong to the body, would it be therefore not [a part] of the body?

17If the whole body were an eye, where [would be the sense of] hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where [would be the sense of] smell?

18But as it is, God has placed and arranged the limbs and organs in the body, each [particular one] of them, just as He wished and saw fit and with the best adaptation.

19But if [the whole] were all a single organ, where would the body be?

20And now there are [certainly] many limbs and organs, but a single body.

21And the eye is not able to say to the hand, I have no need of you, nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22But instead, there is [absolute] necessity for the parts of the body that are considered the more weak.

23And those [parts] of the body which we consider rather ignoble are [the very parts] which we invest with additional honor, and our unseemly parts and those unsuitable for exposure are treated with seemliness (modesty and decorum),

24Which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so adjusted (mingled, harmonized, and subtly proportioned the parts of) the whole body, giving the greater honor and richer endowment to the inferior parts which lack [apparent importance],

25So that there should be no division or discord or lack of adaptation [of the parts of the body to each other], but the members all alike should have a mutual interest in and care for one another.

26And if one member suffers, all the parts [share] the suffering; if one member is honored, all the members [share in] the enjoyment of it.

27Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body and [individually] you are members of it, each part severally and distinct [each with his own place and function].

As I bring this teaching to a close this morning, I want to go back to  John15:12This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.

I believe with my whole heart that the socket that connects the members of the body of Christ together (all of the churches that believe in Christ as Lord and Savior, no matter what other traditions they may have) is LOVE.

If there is desension between Christian churches, it is because of the lack of love and therefore those joints cannot move because the socket is not lubricated with HIS LOVE!!!!

God bless you my friends, reach out in love to the churches in your area and lets all work together for HIS KINGDOM in LOVE!

For His Glory,

Pastor Carol Mora

Good Morning Everyone,

God is so Good!! We are busily about His Work for the Kingdom of God and He is busily Perfecting those things that concern us. I love that verse, it brings so much comfort!!

cluster2

This morrning I just wanted to encourage you to get together with the body of believers that God has connected you with. Sometimes people go to church on a Sunday or a Wednesday and never really gets to know anyone at their church and this is not how God intended it to be. He has made us ONE BODY, with different members. I believe that we need each other believer in our own churches, but we also need relationship with believers in other churches. For we all have specific functions and we need to learn how to work together. For example: Your arm would not move with out the brain telling it to move. Our body’s functions all work together and that is how it should be in the body of Christ.

12For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14For the body is not one member, but many.

15If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

22Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:

23And those members of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely parts have more abundant comeliness.

24For our comely parts have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that part which lacked.

25That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.

26And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.

27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.

These scriptures show us that we need each other!! How do we get to know each other? By getting together, by helping each other accomplish what they are putting their hand to! Its time to rally together as the body of Christ and touch your neighborhood, your place of influence for the Kingdom of God!!

Hebrews 10:25 (Whole Chapter)
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

Many of us have thought of this verse as meaning, do stop going to your church services… but it is so much more than that!! Don’t stop associating with your christian brothers and sisters, don’t stop encouraring and exhorting them. WE NEED EACH OTHER ! It is not all about our church and what we are doing, or your church and what you are doing, its about the body of Christ and how we are touching this world we live in. Remember the verse one with put a thousand to flight and two will put 10 thousand to flight. I always thought of that as one person and two people, but what if we look at it to be one church can put a thousand to flight, but when two churches unite and are helping and encouraging each other, they can put 10 thousand to flight!!

Passage 1 Thessalonians 5:12:

12And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

We need to KNOW them that labor among you. That doesn’t just means knowing their names. That means getting to know the Christian brothers and sisters God has placed around you, whether it is in your church body or in another… God uses relationships and divine appointments to bless us!! I have many examples of Christian brothers and sisters that God has put in our lives that have been there for us in the hardest of times and I KNOW that is what God intended and then I have examples of Christian brothers and sisters that I believe God wanted relationships to form, but they were wrapped up in their lives and were not looking for close relationships with others..

Wow, I did not begin this blog thinking I was going in this direction, I was going to invite you to an outreach we are beginning once a month, just to fellowship with people!! We will be having a Family movie night once a month for fun and fellowship!! We would love to have you join us. I will be posting a separate blog with the information for this outreach.

Good Morninghave_a_happy_day-3780

Just a quick word this morning before I put my hands to the work God has for me to do today!!! I am so thankful that His Word promises us that He will prosper the work of our hands

His word is Proverbs 3 says that if we acknowledge him in ALL our ways HE will direct our paths. He also said that the steps of the righteous are ordered by Him.

So………. Today as you go about those things that you need to do acknowledge Him and allow Him to take you places that you may have never gone before. Be open to the Holy Spirit inside of you to lead you and guide you today. You may be the answer of prayer of someone, just needing to have someone to listen to…… Be open this morning and Let God use you, there is not a greater honor that to be a vessell fit for the Masters use!!

God Bless You,

Nothing is Hidden from God August 18, 2009

Good Morning All,

070112shadow

Passage Luke 8:17:

17For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

I am so very thankful this morning for my relationship with God! He knows me more than anyone else. The word says he even knows what I’m going to ask before I speak. He knows our hearts. He knows when we have anything hidden in our heart that needs to be exposed.

Some people live in a constant fear of something in their life being exposed. One thing I have discovered through the years is that the exposing of a sin or wrong doing can be the beginning of a NEW START  if the person is willing to repent and start afresh. If sin is NOT EXPOSED, it continues to grow and fester and can never be dealt with. Is it fun to deal with, absolutely not!! But God is faithful to get you through those times when he is dealing with your heart or someone elses to bring forth a change.

God exposes sin for a specific purpose, he tells us in the following verse that what is done in secret will be revealed.

Passage Mark 4:22:

22For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.

As my children were young and growing up, they often wondered how mom found out certain things. How did I know about things that were going on in secret? The Holy Spirit will reveal those things to us.

In the following scripture we see God’s response in the situation of Cain and Able. I think this is a very clear picture of our actions and what we are to do and what happens when we make the wrong decisions.

Genesis 47If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin crouches at your door; its desire is for you, but you must master it.

If you do well, will you not be accepted? Here God is telling us if we are doing the RIGHT thing, we will be accepted and blessed, but if we make wrong choices, SIN IS ALWAYS WAITING THERE AT THE DOOR OF OUR HEART, TO BE LET IN… We have the choice to allow sin into our lives or to master it and take control of it!!

God is not mocked, whatever a man sows that also shall he reap!

Gods heart is to love us and love covers a multitude of sin, but he also knows that sin has to be dealt with or it will take over.

I praise God today that He searches my heart daily as I have given him permission to do so and NOTHING is hidden from my Lord and Savior. There is rest in that!!

God Bless you and Keep you

FRET NOT??? August 16, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 9:36 am
Tags: , , , , , , , , , , ,

Good Morning All,

If you are like me, you may have your favorite paasages in the bible and this morning we are going to explore one of mine from the Old Testament. Psalms 37

The first two words in this chapter is Fret Not!!! My  immediate thought goes to the parrell verse in the New Testament in Philippians 4:6 that says

Do not fret or have any aniety about anything (amplified).08_leap_of_faith_400

Wow, Does that mean always, no matter what you are going through?? When the economy is failing, when jobs are scarce or you receive a paycut, when your health may seems to be failing,or when things seems to be spiraling out of your control??? Or when God is telling you to get out of the boat and the wind and the waves are crashing around you??

YES, I believe it does!!! If we are FRETTING or WORRYING we are out of faith and the following scriptures tells us that whatever is not done IN FAITH is SIN!!!

Passage Romans 14:23:

23And he that doubteth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith: for whatsoever is not of faith is sin.

Lets go back to Psalms 37 where we began and look further and the Lord shows us how we can accomplish this seemingly imposssible feat in the natural realm!!!

Psalm 37

[A Psalm] of David.

1FRET NOT yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness (that which is not upright or in right standing with God).

2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

In these first two scriptures the Lord is telling us to FRET NOT yourselves because of evil doers neither be envious of them.  Have you ever looked at someone or some situation that is ungodly and they seem to be prospering more than you are as a child of God. Or they may seem to be happier or going through less struggles than you?? Well lets look at their fate… Vs 2 tells us that they shall be soon cut down like the grass and wither as the green herb. In other words you reap what you sow!!!!

Passage Galatians 6:8:
8For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

As we go forward in Psalms 37 we find the keys on how to sow to the Spirit. How do we live without fretting or worrying about life and the circumstances that come up in our life. All of these directions are things that we have a choice to do or not to do!! God does not force us to live by His Word, it is a choice we have every day!! BUT he shows us how and tells us the benifits if we choose to do it his way!!!!

3Trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) in the Lord and do good; so shall you dwell in the land and feed surely on His faithfulness, and truly you shall be fed.

We need to have FULL TRUST in God and do His Word and we will feed on his FAITHFULNESS. I can’t think of anything better to feed on, and to be sustained by, than GOD”S FAITHFULNESS!! When God promises something HE WILL NEVER BREAK HIS PROMISE!

Other people might break their promises, circumstances might throw you for a loop, BUT GOD!!!

Our part is to First TRUST HIM and DO GOOD.

Then in verse 4 & 5 it says:

4Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart.

5Commit your way to the Lord [roll and repose each care of your load on Him]; trust (lean on, rely on, and be confident) also in Him and He will bring it to pass.

Delight yourself in the Lord and commit your way to Him. This sounds like total surrender to me!! It sounds like changing your focus and purpose of living from yourself to LIVING FOR HIM!!

How many Christians do you know that are really commiting their way to Him, really focused on how to Delight themselves IN THE LORD and not in the World system of pleasure?

When we truly do it HIS WAY, we see HIS RESULTS:

6And He will make your uprightness and right standing with God go forth as the light, and your justice and right as [the shining sun of] the noonday.

When we totally surrender to God HE will make things happen, He takes care of those things that we cannot control

7Be still and rest in the Lord; wait for Him and patiently lean yourself upon Him; fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

8Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself–it tends only to evildoing.

Here again in these verses he is telling us what to do  and what not to do!! BE STILL AND REST…..That is definitely the opposite of fretting and worrying, sounds alot more peaceful to me!!! It says to patiently lean upon Him!! See he does not leave us alone. He has already equipped us with the precious Holy Spirit, so that Patience to wait is already in us, in the fruit of the Spirit, it is our choice whether to yeild to it or not!!!

Cease from anger or wrath…. See these are fleshly desires. … that we need to lay down at all costs………….as it leads to evil doing!

Sometimes I believe we can all get to a point in our lives where circumstances can be so overwhelming, that we open the door to Fretting or worrying or even anger or wrath! BUT we have another choice!!

This choice is TOTAL SURRENDER to God and His Plan and purpose for your life!! We need the mindset that No matter what we go through WE TRUST God will bring us through and has a plan and purpose for it all!!

TRUST GOD TODAY and lets give up Fretting and Worrying forever!!

He will never leave us or forsake us!!

God Bless You and Keep you!!

Forever in His Love,

Pastor Carol

Victorious in Battle August 9, 2009

Good Morning All,

I have no way of knowing who will read this blog and what you may be going through, but I have a word in my heart today that will strenghten and encourage you, if you are in a battlezone in your life right now!

victorious

There is Light at the End of the Tunnel

My husband, Pastor Rick and I are busily preparing for a large outreach to the community where God has placed us. We are walking it out by faith, believing for a harvest of souls. Because of this, attacks are coming out of the woodwork!!! We are experiencing battles that we never thought we would have to face, BUT GOD!!

The Lord said in HIS WORD that he would NEVER LEAVE US OR FORSAKE US!! So if you are in a battle right now, he is there with you!! A good example of that is when the Hebrew children were thrown into the fire and they saw a fourth man. That same fourth man is with you in your battle protecting you from the fiery darts of the devil coming at you!!

Luke 10:19 (Whole Chapter)
Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

I needed to be reminded of this verse this morning. When an attack from Satan comes on so strong and the power and force of that attack is so strong, sometimes we forget about the POWER God has given us… In the verse He said he has given us POWER over all of the power of the enemy!!

The next verse that comes to mind is that NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST YOU WILL PROSPER (ISAIAH 54:17)

We need to  know who is behind the battle we are in and that we already have the victory because of what Christ did for us on Calvary!

Here is what Paul encouraged the Ephesians in Chapter 6 to do:

10Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

13Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

   14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

   15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

   18Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

These scriptures are great because they not only tell us who we are battling against, but what we should be doing while we are in the battle and even in those periods of time when the battle looks like it is over, that you need to stand prepared at ALL TIMES!!

1 Peter 5:8 (Whole Chapter)
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:

God has given us everything we need to go through anc ome out victorious in all of the battles that come in our lives. Yes there is a real enemy out there and He is looking to devour you, but God has given you the power to be overcomers through His son Jesus!! The same power that raised Christ from the dead lives in you as a believer, put you have to KNOW that power is there and you have to activate it by FAITH!!!

Rev 12:11 says they overcame by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony

That is whay we can overcome any battle that rages against us. It is because of the BLOOD OF THE LAMB, that was shed for us and we activate it by our words!!!

Be encouraged by the word of God this morning, His word will not return void!!!

Have a wonderful day with Jesus, Feel free to comment or get in touch with us if you would like.

In His Power and Love,

Pastor Carol Mora
