Be Open to God’s Way of doing things! June 22, 2009

Good Morning Everyone!

I woke up this morning with this scripture going through my mind.

Isaiah 55:8
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.

  • Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.I believe that the reason God has highlighted this, this morning, is so we are open to His way of doing things. You may be believing God for a specific answer to prayer. Be open to any way he wishes to bring it about!!

  • In our personal study, Pastor Rick and I have been studying about the life of Elijah. If you look at Elijahs needs and how God responded, it is probably different than what you would have expected!!
  • 1 Kings 17

2And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

3Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

4And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have commanded the ravens to feed thee there.

5So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and dwelt by the brook Cherith, that is before Jordan.

6And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

7And it came to pass after a while, that the brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.

8And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,

9Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a widow woman there to sustain thee.

  • 15And she went and did according to the saying of Elijah: and she, and he, and her house, did eat many days.
  • You may be in a situation even this day where you are waiting for a promise of God to manifest. You may be in a situation you don’t understand why you are going through this. This is a time to ge  before the Lord and give it totally to Him. Elijah got a word from the Lord and followed through with it, even when it seemed crazy to the natural mind….   God used Ravens and a widow women who was preparing to die, to sustain Elijah!!!!!!
  • Many times in the natural we think we see how God can meet a need or bring about a certain promise, most of the times, he uses a TOTALLY different way to do it!!! I believed for 13 years for God to bring my husband. Was it my desire to wait that long, did I enjoy everything I went through to get in the right place to connect with him, NO, but it was worth doing it God’s way. I had a promise and I stuck with it till it came to pass. So I encourage you this morning, if you are watiing on a promise of God to manifest, Don’t give up, be willing to follow the Lord’s leading in your life as Elijah did and He WILL PROVIDE!!
  • There is so much more that I could go into in this teaching, because later in the new testament, we are told we have the mind of Christ , and we can know the mysteries of God…..
  • God will show us and direct us in the way we should go, We need to be seeking His Will and His Ways. Seek the kingdom of God FIRST!!!
  • God bless you this morning!

    Faithful Servant June 21, 2009

    Good Morning my friends

What is on my heart this morning is being a FAITHFUL SERVANT!!

Faithfulness is a quality of our Father God!! He is faithful to a thousand generations!!He is someone we can ALWAYS trust in and ALWAYS belive His WORD will come to pass.  As we look at ourselves this morning, are we allowing this trait of our Father God to blossom and grow in our lives? Do we value this trait and are we consistantly working to be a faithful servant both to God and to those whom God puts in our lives?

  • Matthew 24:37But as the days of Noah were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.    38For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,   39And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

40Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

41Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

42Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.

  • In this scripture the Lord is telling us to WATCH.
  • 43But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.   44Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.

45Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?

46Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.

47Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.

  • Jesus Christ is coming back soon. Are we being faithful servants to what he has put us ruler over? We have ALL been given a puropse in this life, ARE WE FAITHFULLY carrying it out?
  • If we look at some of the behavior of children, lets say they are told to clean their room before the parents get home . Do you think most children would clean their room right away or wait right before they think their parents will be home. If their parents suprised them and come home within an hour do you think it would be done?? I can hear the response, I didn’t think you’d be home so soon!!
  • I sure don’t want to have any excuses when Christ comes back to why I haven’t been faithful and accomplished what He has given me to accomplish
  •  8But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;   49And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;   50The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
51And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Then in Matthew 25 we read the parable about the servants and the talents they were given.  Two of the servants did something with what the master had given them. One of them did nothing because of Fear!!

  • Matthew 25:21 (Whole Chapter)
His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
  • When we are faithful with what God has given us to do, Promotion comes. God is a God of increase, but the increase only comes when you are faithful over what he has already given you.
  • I think about the beginning of the ministry God has given Pastor Rick and I.  We could be stopped cold in our tracks if we allowed fear to come in. But no matter what we see in the natural we see the calling of God on our lives and the plan and purpose He has for us and We WILL BE FAITHFUL to all he is calling us to do, no matter what it looks like in the natural.
  • I encourage you today to be faithful to the calling God has for you. That when Christ returns, whenever that may be that he will see you busy   at work, doing what He has called you to do.
Faithfulness is a quality trait of our Fathers, may it be a trait in all of our lives, that shines out to a lost and dying world.

God bless you this morning, Have a wonderful Day with your Lord and Savior and the brothers and sisters in the Lord that he has surrounded you with.

    In His Love,

    Pastor Carol

    Good Morning Everyone,

It is wonderful to sit with the Word of God and do a blog this morning, With the new church and life in general, the days have been flying by and I truely miss this time doing the blogs!!

I love the Lord with all my heart, my soul and my mind. The desire of my heart is to stay on the PATH that he has for us to stay on and accomplish all that he has forordained us to do!!

One of my favorite scriptures that I have shared with you before is in Proverbs 3:5-6

5Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.

6In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths

To me, this verse is so comforting, because I can know that I know, that if I acknowledge Him in all my ways, HE is directing  and making straight my path!! My heart desire is to be on HIS path for my life, not my own and we can have this assurance that if we are seeking him and acknowleding his presence in all we do we are being lead by him in the way we should go.

    Psalm 16:11 (Whole Chapter)
You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy, at Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore

One way you can tell you are walking in the path of life that God has for you , is that you are in his presence and you are walking in fulness of joy and pleasures forevermore!! We should be HAPPY & JOYOUS christians as we walk out Gods plan and purposes in our life. The JOY of the Lord should be evident on us as we carry out his plan and walk the pathway he has for us. How do you find this path?? The next scripture shows you where to start.

    lamp to my feet

     Psalm 119:105 (Whole Chapter)
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path

As believers that are truly seeking the will of god for their lives and wanting to walk in the path that God has forordained you to walk in, YOU MUST BE IN THE WORD OF GOD!! This is not a suggestion, but a reality!! His word is a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path. If you are living your daily life with out the illumination of Gods word, you will stumble and trip on things in your path, because there is no light on your path. I love the word as it continually brings wisdom, knowledge and correction into our lives so we can improve our decision making daily!!

  • Psalm 25:10 (Whole Chapter)
All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.Psalm 23:3 (Whole Chapter)
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake

  • God loves us so much and his desires are to lead us into GOOD places, mercy, truth, righteousness!! Our part is to allow him to do so, by doing our part. It is our responsibility to acknowledge him in all we do and to get into the word of God and APPLY it to our lives.

We are all a work in progress and this is a great reminder for all of us.

    God Bless you!

Have a wonderful day as you walk with the Light on the pathway that he has established for you this day!!

    Pastor Carol Mora

       Proverbs 4:25-26

25Let your eyes look right on [with fixed purpose], and let your gaze be straight before you.

26Consider well the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established and ordered aright.

Are we walking in the NEW Covenant? June 7, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 11:14 am

    Good Morning Everyone!

Praise God, Today is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it!!  It is a total honor and blessing to rejoice and be glad in what Christ has done for us!! Jesus Christ and what he did, is the difference between the OLD and the NEW Testaments, or in other words between the OLD COVENANT and the NEW Covenant.

I woke up with the question in my mind this morning, Which Covenant are you living in???  Well of course I know I live in the new covenant that Christ purchased for me…. but I think that there is alot to this question that we need to meditate on this morning……

The following verses are some that show us the picture of the old covenant that God made with Abraham and the Law giving with Moses. I am just barely touching on this, as there is much to say about the Laws and covenants that they had to follow before Christ came and was the blameless sacrafice for us all.

  • Genesis 17:9 (Whole Chapter)
And God said unto Abraham, Thou shalt keep my covenant therefore, thou, and thy seed after thee in their generations.
  • Genesis 17:10 (Whole Chapter)
This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised.

  • Genesis 17:11 (Whole Chapter)
And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.
  • Exodus 24:7 (Whole Chapter)
And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the audience of the people: and they said, All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient.

  • Exodus 24:8 (Whole Chapter)
    And Moses took the blood,
and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words.
  • Exodus 34:28 (Whole Chapter)
And he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he did neither eat bread, nor drink water. And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
  • Now we switch over to the new testament, where Christ became the mediator of the NEW covenant.  Jesus Christ came to be the mediator of a better covenant as seen in the scripture below. The old covenant was a covenant of  works where the new covenant that we live under is a covenant of Grace.

  • Hebrews 8:6 (Whole Chapter)
But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also
he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

  • Hebrews 8:7 (Whole Chapter)
For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

  • Hebrews 8:8 (Whole Chapter)
For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:

  • Hebrews 8:9 (Whole Chapter)
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they continued not in my covenant, and I regarded them not, saith the Lord.

  • The old covenant was a covenant of  works where the new covenant that we live under is a covenant of Grace.
    Ephesians 2:8 (Whole Chapter)
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

  • 2 Timothy 1:9 (Whole Chapter)
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,We have Christ in us, the hope of Glory. We have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us. We have the fulfillment of the promises that Christ purchased on Calvary for us, such as healing, prosperity, fullness of Joy and all of the fruits of the Spirit that lives in us. These benefits were given to us freely……by what Christ did for us.
  • We are called to walk in the fullness of all he purchased for us!
  • I KNow I just barely scratched the surface this morning and have more to study on this subject, but I pray that this has stirred you up to examine your life to see if you are living in the promises of the NEW Covenant that we have with Christ.
  • God Bless You and Keep you today!

    Praise God!!! June 4, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:35 am

    Good Morning my friends!!

God is ever about our business!! His word declares that He perfects those things that concern us, and I can testify that to be so very true. Pastor Rick and I have been believing God for a building for the church, not just any building, but the one HE HAD FOR US!! It is so awesome how he directed us to exactly the place where he wants us to minister his love, his mercy and his grace!!! We are called as fulltime pastors and we are one step closer to walking in the fulness of that calling!!

I praise Him today with all that is within me!!!

Faith without works is dead. Sometimes we have to take a step out, even if it seems uncomfortable or impossible and He

meets us there with more that we could ever think or imagine!!

He is a faithful God and I praise Him this day!!

If you are believing for a promise of His Word to manifest in your life, don’t get weary, don’t give up, if His word says it, HE WILL DO IT!!

    God Bless you

    Pastor Carol
