Can Prayer change God’s Decision? April 25, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 4:36 am

Good Morning Everyone!!

Praise God for this new day!! I am so excited this morning to have some time to do a teaching… We have been rearranging our morning time and still working on how to fit everything in!!

So many times when circumstances happen, people accept it as God’s will. He allowed it to happen, so it must be his will. Or they will pray, God if it be your will please heal so and so.

There are several instances in the word that we need to look at this morning to get a NEW revelation of the power of Prayer and Faith!!

Lets go to 2 Kings 20:1-6

2 Kings 20

1In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And the prophet Isaiah the son of Amoz came to him, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die, and not live.

2Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, saying,

3I beseech thee, O LORD, remember now how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore.

4And it came to pass, afore Isaiah was gone out into the middle court, that the word of the LORD came to him, saying,

5Turn again, and tell Hezekiah the captain of my people, Thus saith the LORD, the God of David thy father, I have heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears: behold, I will heal thee: on the third day thou shalt go up unto the house of the LORD.

6And I will add unto thy days fifteen years; and I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria; and I will defend this city for mine own sake, and for my servant David’s sake.

This scripture alone has really spoken to my heart this week. I think sometimes we can get into the mindset that God has ordered our steps, and our life is already planned and out and set in stone and we don’t have a say in it. And as christians we sit back and just wait for God’s plan to unfold………..

If Hezekiah would have just accepted the word of the Lord and sat back and let that plan unfold HE WOULD HAVE DIED!! He choose to go to the Lord and beseech Him. ……  Are we just going to sit back and let things happen or are we going to take God at His word and ASK and RECEIVE!!

God wants to hear from us!!

This is not the only instance where a child of God stood before the Lord and pleaded for Him to look at the situation again.

In 2 Kings 4 there is another story………… where action changed the circumstance. If you remember this story the shumanite women blessed the man of God and she in turned was blessed and God gave her a son. One day as the son was older he died in the field. WOW, how could this be?? He was a gift from God. She could have just accepted it as God perfect will and left it there and her son would have stayed dead. But she choose to go back to God (they went through the priest back then). As she did not left the circumstances stopped her she went to the man of God for a change. PRAISE GOD, she did not give up and just except it as God’s will for her life.

We need to understand the relationship we have with our Father. He loves us and wants us to come to Him. Don’t be afraid to share your inner most desires with the Father, He desires you to do so!!

Matthew 21:22
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive

Are you believing for something today and even a man or woman of God has given you a word that it will not come to pass, Go to God as Hezekiah did and watch what God will do for you as you ask with faith believing!!

God Bless you my friends!

Love, Pastor Carol

Inventory Time! April 20, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 4:06 am

Good Morning All,

I apologize that I haven’t been doing the blogs this last week. Pastor Rick and I have been changing around our schedule in the morning and I am still working on fitting this is before heading to work, it means getting up a little bit earlier than I have been.

It’s Inventory Time!

The Lord really spoke to Rick and I about looking at what we are doing and being diligent on what He has put on our heart to do and cutting off those other things, so we have been changing things around and really taking the time to inventory and study the things that we say and we do and how we react to certain things

The verse that the Lord has highlighted to us this week is James 3:16.

Passage James 3:16:

16For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

This is a verse I have been taught in the past and knew was important, but the Lord again this week highlighted the fact that many of us are still leaving the door open for Satan to come in and raise havoc and this is how we are leaving the door open.

If there is any confusion or evil work going on in any of your relationships, at your job, in your family, I suggest you sit down and really take inventory and see if there are stiuations where you have allowed strife or envy to come in……

This week for me personally was life changing, because I allow ed God to come in and correct me and instruct me on some of the things I had been allowing to come out of my mouth.

As we begin to progress in our christian walk, sometimes we get to the point that we think we have mastered particular areas, guess what, if you are not careful and guarding your heart, you could be slipping back and not even realizing it. Keep your heart open to correction and instruction!!!

Proverbs 19:20

Hear counsel, receive instruction and accept correction, that you may be wise in time to come.

Proverbs 20:3

It is an honor for a man to cease from strife and keep aloof from it, but every fool will quarrel.

I encourage you today to do an inventory of your life, including, actions, thoughts and emotions, see if they are lining up to the word of God in every area and if not, purpose in your heart to make the changes needed. Many times it is changing our confession, what is coming out of our mouth!!

Strife and Envy is aroung every corner looking for an entrance into your life. As you do this inventory you will be looking for those areas that have been allowing Satan to come in through envy and strife.

God Bless You

Good Morning all!!

I know its been a few days since I posted a blog, I have a couple in draft form, including this one that I need to finish! Something has been very evident to me in the last couple of weeks. The word says for us not to be ignorant of Satans devices. I believe he is constantly trying to knock us off our feet so we cannot stand!! If he can knock the wind out of us and cause us to collaspe, it is harder for us to get the strength to get back up again!!

The first thing that we have to do is get up! Isaiah 60:1 amp

Arise (from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you – rise to a new life). Shine and be radiant with the glory of the Lord for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

At church a couple weeks ago I preached a message that I had written on my blog on January 31, 2009. I urge you to go back through the past teachings and reread this teaching. The title was “Stand against Weariness”. This teaching focused on not being weary and what we must do to prevent weariness.

Today we will focus on STANDING!!

Standing is a position, It is a posture that we choose. You can sit, lay or stand.

1 Samuel 12:16 (Whole Chapter)
Now therefore stand and see this great thing, which the LORD will do before your eyes.

1 Samuel 14:9 (Whole Chapter)
If they say thus unto us, Tarry until we come to you; then we will stand still in our place, and will not go up unto them

  1. 1 Chronicles 23:30 (Whole Chapter)
And to stand every morning to thank and praise the LORD, and likewise at even:
  2. 2 Chronicles 20:17 (Whole Chapter)
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Wow, I like this verse. So many times we are going through a battle and we can’t settle ourselves. We are pacing back and forth looking for what we need to do. Going here and going there trying to find the answer, trying to fight the battle and come out victorious, but we are doing it in our might and really getting nowhere, but frustrated!! This scripture reminds us who is in control, it is HIS BATTLE, we are to STAND on the WORD of the Lord for each situation and see his mighty Hand come in and take control.

You can’t just stand on anything…..remember the parable about the two houses….. In order to STAND against the wiles of the devil, we need to stand on the firm foundation of the word!! All other ground is sinking sand!!

  1. Psalm 119:161 (Whole Chapter)
Princes have persecuted me without a cause: but my heart standeth in awe of thy word.

Stand in awe of the word!!

  1.  Proverbs 19:21 (Whole Chapter)
There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.

His counsel, his instruction, his promises which are found in the word will always stand! They will not fail you in times of trouble, that is the time they will show themselves strong.

God Bless you today as you STAND on HIS Word, no matter what is going on around you, you can not be shaken!!

Direction THEN Provision April 3, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:07 am

Good Morning my friends

God is so GOOD!

I just want to share a couple scriptures this morning to encourage you, to listen for the direction and then as you are obedient the Provision will come!!

Lets start in 2Kings 3:16-20Passage 2 Kings 3:16-20:

16And he said, Thus says the Lord: Make this [dry] brook bed full of trenches.

17For thus says the Lord: You shall not see wind or rain, yet that ravine shall be filled with water, so you, your cattle, and your beasts [of burden] may drink.

18This is but a light thing in the sight of the Lord. He will deliver the Moabites also into your hands.

19You shall smite every fenced city and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree and stop all wells of water and mar every good piece of land with stones.

20In the morning, when the sacrifice was offered, behold, there came water by the way of Edom, and the country was filled with water.

As you see here, when they followed Gods direction, the provision came….

Lets look over one chapter to 2 Kings 4:1-7

2 Kings 4

1NOW THE wife of a son of the prophets cried to Elisha, Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord. But the creditor has come to take my two sons to be his slaves.

2Elisha said to her, What shall I do for you? Tell me, what have you [of sale value] in the house? She said, Your handmaid has nothing in the house except a jar of oil.

3Then he said, Go around and borrow vessels from all your neighbors, empty vessels–and not a few.

4And when you come in, shut the door upon you and your sons. Then pour out [the oil you have] into all those vessels, setting aside each one when it is full.

5So she went from him and shut the door upon herself and her sons, who brought to her the vessels as she poured the oil.

6When the vessels were all full, she said to her son, Bring me another vessel. And he said to her, There is not a one left. Then the oil stopped multiplying.

7Then she came and told the man of God. He said, Go, sell the oil and pay your debt, and you and your sons live on the rest.

Praise God, these are just two examples of God’s children hearing direction from God, following through with it and being blessed with the provision they need. We are no different today. We need to Hear and obey and the provision will be there!!!

God bless you

Pastor Carol

Are we walking in the fullness He purchased on Calvary? April 1, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:48 am
  • Good Morning Everyone!!

Praise God, He is so good and faithful. Everything we need and desire was purchased for us on Calvary!! We have a daily choice whether to receive it and walk in it or not.

With his stripes we are healed.

  • Isaiah 53:5
  • But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
  • This verse is filled with the explantion of what was purchsed for us when Christ went to the cross and died for us. He took care of our trangressions, our iniquities, the chasetisement of our peace and our healing. Today we are going to go into the word of God and search out all of the scriptures on healing, that you can take and receive for yourself ! The word of God will not return void, it will accomplish that which it is sent to.  Speak the word over your body and it HAS to line up!
  • It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones.
  • Proverbs 4:22
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
  • Psalm 107:20 (Whole Chapter)
He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.

The word of God is Health to your body, we need to be diligent to take the word and aplly it constantly to the situation you are going through in your body.

  • Proverbs 12:18
There is that speaketh like the piercings of a sword: but the tongue of the wise is health.
  • Proverbs 13:17
A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.
  • Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.

As you look at the previous verses can you see where YOUR WORDS can affect your health. We need to be wise on what we speak concerning our body and our lives. Life and death are in the power of our tongue, what are we speaking over our health today>

  • Isaiah 58:7-8
7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.

In these verses it shows us that our actions can also affect our health. When we care for others as in the above verses, it says our health will spring forth speedily!! Praise God, that is a promise you can receive for yourself!

I have a question for you: Can our prayer make a diffence in the health of others? Lets look at some scriptures which will confirm this belief.

  • Genesis 20:17
So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.
  • 2 Chronicles 30:20 (Whole Chapter)
And the LORD hearkened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
  • Matthew 8:8
The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.
  • Matthew 8:13
And Jesus said unto the centurion, Go thy way; and as thou hast believed, so be it done unto thee. And his servant was healed in the selfsame hour.
  • Acts 14:9 (Whole Chapter)
The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
  • James 5:16 (Whole Chapter)
Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Do we need someone else to pray for us to receive healing or can we receive what Christ did by the stripes on his back for us by ourselves? Look at the scripture below:

  • Psalm 30:2
O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.

My friends, Jesus took the stripes on his back for your healing! I come into agreement with you this day for a total healing in your body. In the name of Jesus I command all sickness and disease to leave your body and your body to line up to the word of God that says by His stripes you are Healed!!

God Bless you
