Blessed to Be a Blessing!! March 31, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:20 am

Good Morning All,

We are so blessed to share with you all what happened this last Sunday!! Our church is just about 3 months old and it has been so wonderful to watch the Lord bring in those people into the church to join with us to bring the LOVE of Christ to the community, and this is exactly what happened on Sunday! There are about 14 of us that attend church regularly and we all did our part in arranging an outreach to the AA & NA groups that meet in the church building during the week. When they got out of the meeting Sunday, we had Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Chips and Sodas waiting for them. We put a sign out front saying FREE FOOD, so people who walked or ride by came and stopped in to eat. We then had a great service with a couple new faces who stayed and then…………….

What happened next will always stay with me!! After service we took about 125 hot dogs and went under the bridge where about 50-100 homeless people live! As we pulled up all eyes were upon us. Pastor Rick said a couple of words and we began giving out hot dogs…. One lady hugged me and said thank you, I haven’t eaten in 2 days……….

42-18514400

When you experience something like this your whole view of things change! Sometimes we are so focused on what we lack, we don’t realize how much we truly have, till you see someone that doesn’t have hardly anything.

We know of another place in St Petersburg where there are even many more homeless people living and we are believing that the Lord will show us how we can bless and minister His Love to them!!

ARE YOU HANDS OPENED OR CLOSED?

Deuteronomy 15:7
If there be among you a poor man of one of thy brethren within any of thy gates in thy land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not harden thine heart, nor shut thine hand from thy poor brother:

Deuteronomy 15:11
For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.

Sometimes we are so focused on our need or our lack we don’t realize we have something in our hand that will bless someone else!!

Leviticus 19:10
And thou shalt not glean thy vineyard, neither shalt thou gather every grape of thy vineyard; thou shalt leave them for the poor and stranger: I am the LORD your God

As God is our provider we need to listen to him and be that vessell fit for the masters use!!

As you read the following scriptures it is very evident that God will take care of the poor and the needy, that His heart is ever turned toward them.He hears their cries and sends help? Are you willing to be the vessell he uses to bring them the answer?

Psalm 9:18
For the needy shall not always be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.

Psalm 12:5
For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.

Psalm 34:6
This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

What is God telling us to do??

Luke 4:18
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Psalm 41:1
Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble.

Psalm 82:3
Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.

Psalm 82:4
Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.

What benefits and harvest do you receive when you follow Gods word on this subject?

Proverbs 19:17
He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.

Proverbs 28:27
He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Passage Isaiah 58:7-8:
7Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?

8Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy reward.

Praise God

I hope that these scriptures have opened your eyes and your hearts to see our Fathers heart in these situations.

God Bless you as you go out and allow God to use you in mighty ways to provide for others!!

Are you Thirsty? March 28, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 5:45 am

Good Morning Everyone!!

Have you ever been so thirsty in the natural that it seems you just can’t quench that thirst? What about in the Spiritual Realm? Are you thirsty and do you know how we can fulfill that thirst?

waterfall

John 6:35
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.

God is so good!! As we have a relationship with Christ we have EVERYTHING we need to live and be satified in both the natural and spiritual realm.

Lets look at  John 7:37-38

In the last day, that great day of the feast Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. 38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

So here we see a progression:

First you have to be THIRSTY

Second you have to COME TO JESUS

Third you have to DRINK

Then in the next verse, the Lord explains that as believers we have the ability to allow RIVERS OF LIVING WATER TO FLOW OUT OF OUR BELLY!!!

When we are in a dry and desert place, we would rejoice if a river came and flowed through it and brought life once again to those dry places, they key is that as believers we have that River of Living Water residing in us, (vs 39 tells us that Jesus was speaking here of the Holy Spirit) we just need to learn how to DRINK of it and allow it to Flow out of us!!

  1. Isaiah 44:3 (Whole Chapter)
For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:

I thank God that He has poured out His Holy Spirit on us and as we come to Him and abide with Him, that refreshing River of Life can flow in and through us and bring LIFE to those dry areas in our hearts and lives! He has ALREADY supplied all that we need in Him, we are just in the process of learning have to RELEASE that River in us!!!
Matthew 5:6 (Whole Chapter)
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled

My dear freinds I join with you this morning, hungering and thirsting after RIGHTEOUSNESS and we will be continually filled to overflowing as we continue to come to Him and allow Him to work in us and through us!! We will see that as we allow this river of Living Water to flow in and out of us, that not only our life will be changed, but you will see Life begin to spring forth all around you as the ground around you begins to drink of this living water.

Drink my friends this morning, Be filled and overflowing with the River of Life that Dwells within you!!

God Bless You and Keep You

It’s Fruit Inspection Time! March 24, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 7:01 am

Praise God this Morning!

He is truly perfecting those things that concern us!!!

A1CHER_SA_C_^_SATURDAY

IT IS FRUIT INSPECTION TIME!

Matthew 12:33
Either make the tree sound (healthy and good), and its fruit sound (healthy and good), or make the tree rotten (diseased and bad), and its fruit rotten (diseased and bad); for the tree is known and recognized and judged by its fruit.

It is time to look at our lives and Judge ourselves, are we the healthy trees bringing forth good fruit or is there something amiss in us and we are bringing forth disease fruit? We will be recognized and judged by our fruit.

  1. Matthew 7:16
You will  fully recognize them by their fruits. Do people pick grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

  2. Matthew 7:17
Even so, every healthy (sound) tree bears good fruit worthy of admiration], but the sickly (decaying, worthless) tree bears bad (worthless) fruit.

  3. Matthew 7:18
A good (healthy) tree cannot bear bad (worthless) fruit, nor can a bad (diseased) tree bear excellent fruit [worthy of admiration].

  4. Matthew 7:19
Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and cast into the fire.

God created us to go forth and bear GOOD FRUIT ! If there are areas in our lives that are producing rotten fruit or not producing at all, we need to cut it down and throw it in the fire!

  1. Matthew 7:20
Therefore, you will fully know them by their fruits.

Not only do you look at the fruit you are bearing, we must be aware of those around us and the fruit they are bearing. We must surround our selves with like-minded people. If you surround yourselves with those producing bad fuit , it will come upon you.

Colossians 1:10
That you may walk (live and conduct yourselves) in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him and desiring to please Him in all things, bearing fruit in every good work and steadily growing and increasing in and by the knowledge of God [with fuller, deeper, and clearer insight, acquaintance, and recognition].

Here is a part of Pauls prayer for the people and our heart for all of us that we would bear fruit in every good work and steadily grow and increase in and by the knowledge of God

This is  what our objective should be, to ever increase and come to full maturity, bringing forth the good fruit that God has called us to bring forth!! How does this come to pass…. One way that God uses is discipline.

Hebrews 12:11
For the time being no discipline brings joy, but seems grievous and painful; but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it [a harvest of fruit which consists in righteousness–in conformity to God’s will in purpose, thought, and action, resulting in right living and right standing with God].

  1. Proverbs 3:12 (Whole Chapter)
For whom the Lord loves He corrects, even as a father corrects the son in whom he delights.
  2. Hebrews 12:6 (Whole Chapter) For the Lord corrects and disciplines everyone whom He loves, and He punishes, even scourges, every son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes. God loves us and His desire is ever towards us! Today let us look at the fruit we are bearing, even the fruit still on the vine.

God loves us and His desire is ever towards us.

Lets make sure we are connected to him and bringing forth the fruit he has called us to!

God Bless you,

Pastor Carol

      Need Direction? March 22, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:51 am

      Good Morning Everyone!

Praise God! I love Him more everyday! My question today is ” Do we have to guess what to do in a situation?” I don’t think so, Lets look at the WORD at see what it says.

      Passage Psalm 32:8:42-20136723
8I [the Lord] will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My eye upon you

We have a promise from the Lord here that we need to believe and receive for ourselves! You just need to position yourself so that you are able to be taught and instructed by the Lord and you are willing to let Him counsel you! He knows your situation, it is not a surprise to Him what you are going through, he knows exactly what needs to happen to get you through to the other side and he knows what can stop you from getting through to the other side. We need to remain teachable and instructable to the Holy Spirit in us!!

      Passage Jeremiah 33:3:
3Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand).

Wow, We can know and believe that as we call unto Him, we will show you those hidden things that you cannot see in the natural. H e will give us knowledge and understanding beyond the natural realm.

      Passage Jeremiah 6:16:
16Thus says the Lord: Stand by the roads and look; and ask for the eternal paths, where the good, old way is; then walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk in it!(A)

Oh my goodness, when God does instruct us the way we should go we need to have an open and obedient heart to go where he tells us to go and do what he tells us to do and not be rebellious as they were in the above verse.

       Passage Jeremiah 7:23:
23But this thing I did command them: Listen to and obey My voice, and I will be your God and you will be My people; and walk in the whole way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

Gos promises us that it will be well with us if we listen and obey His voice, not the voice of others or the voice of circumstance, we need to be seeking his instruction and his direction and then following it and it alone!

God bless you as you STAY on the Pathway to Victory that God has set before you

      Love, Pastor Carol

Time to Give up this Mistaken Tone of Distrust March 20, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:50 am

      Good Morning my Dear Friends,

How is your journey with our Lord going this day? God has given us everything we need pertaining to life and Godliness. In other words he has done His part, what is our part??

I believe that the scripture we are going to look at this morning is a reminder. It may prick you at your heart as it has done mine a couple different times when God has highlighted it to me in my walk with him. Please keep your heart open and flexible to the Lord as you read this and Lets all walk according to His word this morning!

      godsname

We are going to look at Jeremiah 15 today. You can read the whole chapter if you want some background. God is not pleased with his people for they have forsaken him. We are going to begin in vs 15 where Jeremiah begins a conversation with the Lord. Lets see what he tells the Lord and then be open to hear what the Lord responds to Him, because I believe this response is for us even today!!

      Passage Jeremiah 15:15-21:
15[Jeremiah said] O Lord, You know and understand; [earnestly] remember me and visit me and avenge me on my persecutors. Take me not away [from joy or from life itself] in Your long-suffering [to my enemies]; know that for Your sake I suffer and bear reproach.

16Your words were found, and I ate them; and Your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart, for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.

17I sat not in the assembly of those who make merry, nor did I rejoice; I sat alone because Your [powerful] hand was upon me, for You had filled me with indignation.

18Why is my pain perpetual and my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will you indeed be to me like a deceitful brook, like waters that fail and are uncertain?

Wow, Have you ever had a conversation with the Lord like this? It sounds to me like he is saying, God I have done everthing right, I found your words and ate them, I have acted correctely in situations, why am I still going through pain, are you going to fail me????

You know sometimes we don’t understand why we are going through what we are going through and we end up doubting and distrusting the only one who can help us!

Let see how the Lord answered Jeremiah and what he is reminding us today!!

19Therefore thus says the Lord [to Jeremiah]: If you return [and give up this mistaken tone of distrust and despair], then I will give you again a settled place of quiet and safety, and you will be My minister; and if you separate the precious from the vile [cleansing your own heart from unworthy and unwarranted suspicions concerning God’s faithfulness], you shall be My mouthpiece. [But do not yield to them.] Let them return to you–not you to [the people].

WOW, I encourage you to really meditate on this verse!! It is the answer you have been looking for! It is time for us as his children to:

      1. Return and give up this mistaken tone of distrust and despair!

Then He will give us again a settled place of quiet and safety and we will be his minister

      2.  If we separate the precious from the vile (cleansing our own heart from unworthy and unwarranted suspicions concerning God’s faithfulness)

Then we shall be His mouthpiece!!

Praise God!! I believe in my heart that this is a word for all of us today!! Don’t let your situation cause you to doubt God’s faithfulness!!

      God Bless You

      Pastor Carol

20And I will make you to this people a fortified, bronze wall; they will fight against you, but they will not prevail over you, for I am with you to save and deliver you, says the Lord.

21And I will deliver you out of the hands of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the palms of the terrible and ruthless tyrants.

Is it possible to never stumble or fall again? March 17, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 10:52 pm

      stumble

IS IT POSSIBLE TO NEVER STUMBLE OR FALL AGAIN?

      Good Morning My Friends!

It is truly a Good morning, because God is in Control and He is Lord and Savior of our lives. Iam going to start a study this morning on a passage of scripture that I feel the Lord has led me to this morning to study and get more revelation on. Please come with me on this journey and open your heart to NEW revelation. Sometimes we have the tendency to think, we know that as the preacher begins to speak, but if our hearts are open, God will show us a new revelation we haven’t seen before.

The passage that we are going to begin to study and go through is found in 2nd Peter 1:3-11

      2 Peter 1

1Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

This scripture was written to us !! To the children of God who have received him through Faith.

2Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,

Here is says that through our know ledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, Grace and Peace will be multiplied to us!!  This is why it is so important to have knowledge of our God and our savior. The word tells us people perish for lack of knowledge. Hosea 4:6
My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.

We need to be hungry and ever seeking the knowledge and revelation of God! And I believe that is why we are to come together and study the word of God and be in services that preach and teach the Word of God. This verse below tells you the purpose of your pastor. Does this fit your pastor?

      Jeremiah 3:15
And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.

      Back to 1 Peter 1
3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Lets let at the end of that verse first:

Through the knowledge of God and our Lord Jesus, whom has called us to glory and virtue, the amplified describes it this way, through the full personal knowledge of Him who called us by and to His own Glory, excellence and virtue!!

It is because of this knowledge in God and our Lord Jesus that we can walk in the beginning of this verse 3  3According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness

Through our personal knowledge and relationship with Christ we have been given all we need to walk in life and godliness through HIS divine Power     4Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

The exceeding great and precious promises that there are talking about here is referring to the word of God.What happens when we receive and walk in the promises of God, We become partakers of His Divine Nature.

         5And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;

         6And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;

7And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.

8For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

9But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.

10Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:

11For so an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

In verse three we are told that we have been given (ALREADY RECEIVED) EVERYTHING THAT WE NEED THAT PERTAIN TO LIFE AND GODLINESS. In other words God has already given us everything we need to walk in the fulness of life and in Godliness.

The everything we need is described in the following verse.

      Praise God March 14, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 1:41 am

      Hi all,

I know I haven’t posted a blog in a few days and usually I do it in the morning with my devotion, but it is Friday night and I just wanted to get on and give Him Praise!!

One of my favorite verses is in Proverbs 3

      path

3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding

6 In ALL your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight!!

My husband and I are trusting God with all our hearts, there are many things we have been through, going through and will go through that we don’t always understand at the time, but we know where our trust is and it is in HIM alone, not in any circumstances!!

The 2nd verse here is awesome to me and we see it coming to pass over and over again.!! I praise him for making our paths straight and not only does he do that, but he puts divine appointments on those pathways!!

Even this week God put a person in our path and at the time, we didn’t even know why, but very, very soon, Gods plan and purpose showed through!!

He is an awesome God and he is ordering the steps of the righteous!

Pastor Rick and I thank God for all he has done and all he is doing!

We love you and bless you in the mighty name of Jesus!!

He is truly doing more for us than we could ever think or imagine!!

      Thank you Jesus!!

      God bless you

      Pastor Carol
