Can we talk too much? January 16, 2009

Filed under: Teachings on the Words of our Mouth — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:53 am

Hi all,

It is Fantastic Friday!!!

We are contining on our study on the words of our mouth. There is so much in the scriptures about this, but I feel I am to give you a nugget each day to meditate on and to practice in your daily life so it becomes a part of you!

unknownzappacover

Proverbs 10:19 In a multitude of words transgression is not lacking, but he who restrains his lips is prudent.

In other words the scripture is warning us that the more we say, the more likely we are to say something that will lead to a transgression or sin. I believe this is especially true in a heated discussion or in any disagreement. There are circumstances constantly that come our way and it is human nature to defend our actions, but most of the times its better to keep your words to a minimum and let it be. We need to be open to keep our mouths closed when we need to.

Our words have a purpose,

Proverbs 10:21 The lips of the uncompromisingly righteous feed and guide many, but fools die for want of understanding and heart. Take an inventory of your words today and see what they are accomplishing…Are they uplifting someone or tearing them down, are they encouraging or discouraging, are they idle words that have no meaning, are you speaking too many words and letting your mouth take you to areas you don’t belong.

As you can imagine this is not a one time thing. This is a continual growing experience in the Lord. Every day is a new chance to watch our words and to use them the way God has ordained us to use them. Are you feeding and guiding many with the Truth of the gospel?

Speak Love today over all situations, love covers it does not expose. Do you remember that saying that your mom might have taught you, If you don’t have something nice to say , don’t say it at all. That is the Fathers heart for you this morning!

Be blessed and watch your words today!!

In Christ,

Pastor Carol

What are your words bringing? January 15, 2009

Filed under: Teachings on the Words of our Mouth — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:36 am

Good Morning My Friends!

Have you ever been so focused on one subject in the word of God, that it is all you can think about? That is how I feel right now on the subject of our words! It is vitally important that we learn this and that we apply it to our lives each and every day. There are SO MANY scriptures on your words, your tongue, speaking things, its amazing!!

Today we will focus on what your words can bring you.

pd_arguing_080129_ms

Proverbs 14:23 In all labor there is profit, but idle talk leads only to poverty

Why are you talking, do you have something important to say or are you just idlely talking to just talk? Some people just like to hear themselves talk or want to be in the center of the conversation, so they go on and on and say very little, thats idle talk….

Proverbs 15:1

A soft answer turns away wrath, but grevious words stir up anger.

Your words have the power to change the reactions and emotions of others. Wow, just think of that!! You can really control the conversations you are in, even those heated conversations when people are trying to ruffle your feathers… you can have contol over it, if you have control over your words! So many people feel the need to defend themselves in conversations, let God take care of defending you, answer with a soft answer, don’t enter into a debate with grevious words, it will just escalate the conversation……

This is such a powerful revelation that  I really don’t want to go further this morning, I really want you to meditate on this and put it into practice! Soft answers will work miracles!!! People will be caught off guard especially if they are used to getting another kind of reaction from you!!

Have fun with God today and see His word work for you as you apply it in your actions.

God Bless You,

Love Pastor Carol

Words January 14, 2009

Good Morning Everyone

words

I am beginning on a new journey today and would like to invite you all to come along with me. I don’t know how many teachings this will be, but I am open to the Lord to discover fresh revelation on the importance of our every word that comes out of our mouth!!

The scripture that I want to start with this morning is in Proverbs 15:28

The heart of the righteous studieth to answer, but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil.

As we begin our study on the words of our mouth, there is one foundation truth you must grasp!! Your heart will guide your tongue!!  If your heart is willing to speak life, that is what you concentrate doing in every situation. If there is evil intent in your heart it will come out of your mouth.  For out of the heart flows the issues of life. And the way those issues are manifested is through our speech and actions!!

When we are put in different situations we need to take the time needed to respond. Study the situation before you answer!!!

Practice makes perfect and we are given opportunities every minute of each day to practice this!!

Have fun with your words today, may they bless everyone you come in contact with!

Love you,

Pastor Carol

Call Upon God!! January 13, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 7:10 am

When troubles come,

as they will who do you run to?

notext-large

Is your first instinct to pick up the phone and call your spouse, Your friend or just anyone that would listen?

Lets go to Psalms 55:16 and see what the Man of God that was after Gods own heart did in those situations.

Vs 16: As for me, I will call upon God; and the Lord shall save me.

Do you know deep down in your heart today that it is God and God alone that is your salvation in every area of your life. It is when we start looking at people or relationships to help us through something, that we may be let down.

Look at Davids actions here when things and people where coming against him:

Vs 17 Evening and morning and noon will I pray, and cry aloud and he shall hear my voice.

Look how much diligence he put into to seeking God, He sought him continously and KNEW that his prayers were being heard and answered!! We can have full asurance that God hears our prayers and he will bring them to pass.

Vs 18 He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me; for there were many with me.

Do you need to be delivered from a battle with peace in your soul???

Listen to vs 22

Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and HE SHALL SUSTAIN THEE, he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Call out to the Lord morning, noon and night, Trust Him and Him alone to deliver you in peace from the battles raging around you, even those fiery darts being thrown at you!! He is your shield and your buckler!!

RUN TO HIM, STAY IN THE SECRET PLACE WHERE NO CALAMITY CAN COME NEAR YOUR TENT!! IT TAKES DILIGENCE AND A DECISION!! SEEK HIM AND YOU WILL FIND HIM!

God bless you!

I love you

The Alarm is Sounding January 11, 2009

Filed under: Urgent Word — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 7:15 am

Good Morning Friends,

man-blowing-shofar-for-rosh-hashanah-giclee-print-c12350930_1_

As my husband and I came together yesterday in prayer, there was such a presence of God surrounding us and the Lord spoke a few things into our heart that I feel I am to share with you.

Everyday millions of people are awoken by the sound of their alarm and they have a choice whether to hit snooze, totally ignore it or get up and begin their day. Well God has spoke to us that he is sounding the arlarm and this alarm is for His people to ARISE AND SHINE !!  As we prayed the Lord laid it on our heart to Pray and Prophecy over the Pastors and Teachers throughout the world to Rise up and equip the saints for the work of the ministry. The time is here and it must be done! Church is not a social club, it is not your job as a pastor or teacher to be a people pleaser, it is time NOW to give them the PURE word of God so they can be a part of the end time harvest!! God has a work and it will take every person in the body of Christ doing what they have been called and ordained by God to do!!

If you are not a pastor or teacher, make sure you are in a body of believers where you are being equipped!! You do not want to go out into battle without being ready for it!!

The time is NOW, ARISE and seek Him with all that is within you!!

God Bless you,

Pastors Carol & Rick Mora

Covenant of Peace

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:52 am

Good Morning All,

PEACE, I believe everyone is searching for a peace in their lives, and  today I share that God has a covenant of peace available for all that will enter in with him into a covenant agreement. He has a Covenant of Peace for all that will receive it!!

a-covenant-with-god

  1. Numbers 25:12 (Whole Chapter)
Therefore say, Behold, I give to Phinehas the priest My covenant of peace.
  2. Isaiah 54:10 (Whole Chapter)
For though the mountains should depart and the hills be shaken or removed, yet My love and kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord, Who has compassion on you.

This verse is so awesome and I have hung on to it for dear life during those times when everything in my life was shaking!! You can live everyday in Peace and Completeness in Christ Jesus. No matter what is happening in your life or even what you have done, we can run back to the Peace in HIM.

  1. Ezekiel 34:25 (Whole Chapter)
And I will confirm with them a covenant of peace and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land, and [My people] shall dwell safely in the wilderness, desert, or pastureland and sleep [confidently] in the woods. [Ps 127:2b; Isa 11:6-9; John 14:27; 16:33 ]
There is a safety in the Covenant of Peace, where we can dwell confidently!! When you are doing things for the kingdom of God the attack of the enemy increases, but God will keep us in  a safe dwelling place of his Peace!!
  2. Ezekiel 37:26 (Whole Chapter)
I will make a covenant of peace with them; it shall be an everlasting covenant with them, and I will give blessings to them and multiply them and will set My sanctuary in the midst of them forevermore.

My friends, God wants to bless you and multiply you and set his presence in the midst of you forever.  He delights in the prosperity of His servants! I want you to know this morning no matter what you are going through I want you to see God’s heart in these verses. He has a covenant of Peace with you, Take advantage of it. Run into his Presence and stay there!!

Be blessed today and stay in the Covenant of Peace!!

Another Godly Repsonse January 9, 2009

Isaiah 60: 1 AMP

ARISE from the depression and prostration in which circumstances have kept you-rise to a new life! SHINE (be radiant with the glory of the Lord) for your light has come and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.

glory

Good morning my friends!

This is a familiar scripture passage and I have preached on it before, but I believe it is a FRESH word for even this morning! As we have been studying on Godly responses, here is another one for us to develop and use in our every day life! I don’t know about you but there are those few days that my flesh wants to stay in bed, its tired and maybe beat down by situations or circumstances and just wants to say down in the bed hiding from the day, BUT you speak to your spirit on those occassions to RISE UP. This can be a physical risig up out of situations you are in, or it can be rising up into the presence of God where everything can change in a moment.

The main thing to remember is don’t stay in a state of defeat or prostration where everything has got you down. Tap into that Mighty Holy Spirit that lives in you and Rise up and take the land!!

God has a plan or purpose for our lives and we cannot accomplish that in a prostrate condition! We need to get up and take authority and allow the Glory of God to come into a situation and change it!!

Its a daily choice to RISE ABOVE the circumstances that come our way!

RISE UP TODAY MY FRIENDS AND SHINE WITH HIS GLORY UPON YOU!

In His Love,

Pastor Carol

Joyful in My House of Prayer January 8, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 6:24 am

Good Morning,

Isaiah56:7

All these I will bring to my holy mountain and make them joyful in My house of Prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar, for My House will be called a House of Prayer for all Peoples.

prayer1

Proverbs 15:8

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, but the prayer of the upright is his delight.

Good Morning Again,

I started this blog yesterday, but was not able to finish it so I am combining yesterdays and todays together. God is so good and I want to be diligent in sharing the Word he gives me to share with you, but there may be days I am quiet for one reason or another, but know I will return with a WORD!!

God is continually showing himself strong on our behalf. Though there are many storms of life raging around us, even some of the effects of those storms effecting us, he is teaching us the way to stand firm during those periods of time! One of the ways to stand firm in times of trouble is STAY IN CONSTANT PRAYER

Ro 12:12 Rejoice and exult in hope, be steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation and be constant in prayer

Then as we look in Acts we see how important prayer was in the early church! We can learn alot by reading Acts and seeing how these early believers moved out in faith as the Holy Spirit came on them and endued them with power. We have that same power and what are we doing with it?

Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication.

Acts 6:4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the Word.

Acts 12:5 So Peter was kept in prison, but ferverent prayer for him was persistantly made to God by the church.

(Its funny tho when you continue through chapter 15, you see God answering their prayers for Peter and set him free, but when they heard that he was at the door they didn’t think it could be so!! We need to believe we receive what we pray for and not to be astounded when it comes knocking on our door!!)

As I write this, there are many more scriptures about prayer…pray without ceasing……and many more….

I am once again stirred in my Spirit how important it is to be in constant prayer. We have spoke about our reactions and responses and one way you can have the right response is to stay in prayer about the situation and God will lead you in the way you should go!! He said if we seek him, we will find him!!

We need to be devoted and disciplined in our time!! If you write out and see what you spend a normal 24 hour day doing, how much time are you speaking and listening to your HEAVENLY FATHER?

We need to hear what the Spirit of the Lord is saying about all of the situations we are facing in our lives, Give him that opportunity in prayer to speak to you.

Prov 15 from above tells us that He delights in the prayer of the upright. When you make your house (your life, your church..) a house of prayer you will live in Joy unspeakable and full of Glory and you are delighting your Father in Heaven!

I love you all and I am praying for you!!

Please e-mail me or send me a comment, I would love to hear from you!!

How’s Your Love Walk? January 6, 2009

Filed under: Daily Revelation — Pastors Rick & Carol Mora @ 5:40 am

Good Morning Everyone!

ylic-web-banner

We all go through things everyday and we have a choice constantly how we react! I did a blog a few days ago about our reactions and responses. Are they Godly? Are we responding in every circumstance the way the Lord would like us to respond. I think sometimes we respond to things out of habit, without even thinking is this the way God wants me to handle it?

As I am meditating on Godly response, the Lord took me to 1 Cor 13: 4-8. I urge you to take this passage and use it as a measuring stick toward your responses this week.  This life continues to give us circumstances that we can practice on 🙂

In hard circumstances are you enduring long, are you patient, are you being kind?  Are you envious, jealous or boastful. How are you displaying yourselves in those times of testings and trials? Are you arrogant or inflated with pride? Are you rude and unmannerly? Do you insist on your own way? Are you self seeking, insisting on your rights.. Are you touchy or fretful or even resentful? Do you dwell on wrongs things done against you?

If any of these traits from 1 cor 13:4 & 5 are evident when you are handling times of trial, then you need to ask for the Spirit of the Living God to come and help you walk in LOVE! We all can walk in higher degrees of your Love, Lord!

Only with God’s help can we begin to respond in situations with His LOVE. Vs 8 & 9,goes into detail (in the amp) on how Love reacts!!

Love bears up under anything and everything and is ready to believe the best of every person.

Love is fadelsss and endures, love never fails!!

God is Love……….We have to react with Him leading us and guiding us!!

I can tell you by experience it is not always an easy thing to always walk in LOVE, but it a DECISION!!

Decide today whom you will serve, choose  today to react with God! React in Love!

God Bless you my friends, They will know you are Christians by your Love Walk!

Love you

Pastor Carol
